Latvia and Canada 1:1 at the moment xshock (ice hockey)

Go Latvia! xcheer
We are losing to USA 1-4 now, so we need a miracle to at least tie it xD
EDIT: 2-5 xD game over...

But other than that it was a very successful day for us. Martina Sáblíková won gold in speed skating and we also won silver in biathlon mixed relay xcheer

First Stefan Luitz missed the very last goal in men's giant slalom, and he was 2nd close behind Ted Ligety.

I felt really sorry for Luitz when that happened, he had a great run. :(

A great day for Norway tho. Gold for Marit Bjørgen and Ingvild Flugstad Østberg in the cross country team sprint, and gold for Norway in the biathlon mixed relay, where Ole Einar Bjørndalen became a legend, with 8 Olympic gold medals. :D Both Ole Einar and Tora Berger will probably retire after this season tho, which I guess is good news for other countries. :p

Also, we have a Norwegian competing in figure skating for the first time in 50 years, and Anne Line Gjersem qualified for tomorrow's free skating.

Updated Norwegian medals, we're on top of the table again (altho 4th in the medal count):
9 Gold (Emil Hegle Svendsen, Jørgen Graabak, Kjetil Jansrud, Maiken Caspersen Falla, Marit Bjørgen, Ola Vigen Hattestad, Ole Einar Bjørndalen; biathlon mixed relay - Tora Berger, Tiril Eckhoff, Ole Einar Bjørndalen and Emil Hegle Svendsen, cross country team sprint - Ingvild Flugstad Østberg and Marit Bjørgen)
4 Silver (Ingvild Flugstad Østberg, Magnus Hovdal Moan, Ståle Sandbech, Tora Berger)
7 Bronze (Anders Bardal, Heidi Weng, Kjetil Jansrud, Magnus Krog, Martin Johnsrud Sundby, Therese Johaug, Tiril Eckhoff)

Clean sweep! Jennifer Jones and her Winnipeg team take the gold medal in women's curling with a 6-3 win over Sweden. She's the first Canadian woman to win gold since the late Sandra Schmirler did it in 1998 and finishes the 2014 tournament with a perfect record of 11-0!

I'm not following the games because Ireland are hopeless and I don't have the time anyway during the week but I was listening to NRK's P3 this afternoon and there was segment where they rang up Swedish people and started laughing at them and saying things like "9 GOLDS 9 GOLDS" is that really how seriously you guys take it?!

P3 is the youth channel of NRK, and it sounds like something they could do. Norwegian newspapers have done similar things on their front pages too. The Swedes do the same tho, it's all fun and games, and shouldn't really be taken seriously. :)

It's not serious though, Norwegians and Swedish people just "joke around" with eachother like that. Don't your remember Petra Mede's joke about Norway on on of the breaks of the 1st semi-final last year?
