A Canadian won bronze in that same event, so great for Victor and Charlie Cournover as well! Canada also beat the USA 1-0 to set up a date with Sweden on Sunday for men's hockey gold

As the Olympics are coming to an end, I know one thing. Next time there are European Olympics, I'm gonna take 2 weeks off work. I think American or Asian Olympics might work out, altho I might take time off anyway. :p I think I have about 15 hours of recorded events waiting for me now, and I haven't gotten nearly enough sleep since the Olympics started. This has also made it a bit hard for me to keep up with forum activity the past few days... Should have seen this coming tho. :p

Norway has done pretty good in team events lately, we got another gold in the nordic combined team competition, and a bronze in the women's biathlon relay. I hope the French women is ok, but I heard she was feeling sick before the start, so she probably shouldn't have started... Only 2 medals for Norway in sports I really like tho, thanks to Kjetil Jansrud, but I haven't chosen favorite sports based on Norwegian medal hopes. Of course it would have been nice to see more medals in snowboard, freestyle and alpine skiing, but I'm hoping we'll get more in 2018. I still love the sports tho. We also have a chance with Henrik Kristoffersen in slalom tomorrow, since he won the last slalom before the Olympics, but I think he needs to get more good results before he can fight for Olympic medals.

Updated medal count, we're still on top, but I see that Russia has suddenly jumped up behind us:
10 Gold (Emil Hegle Svendsen, Jørgen Graabak, Kjetil Jansrud, Maiken Caspersen Falla, Marit Bjørgen, Ola Vigen Hattestad, Ole Einar Bjørndalen; biathlon mixed relay - Tora Berger, Tiril Eckhoff, Ole Einar Bjørndalen and Emil Hegle Svendsen, cross country team sprint - Ingvild Flugstad Østberg and Marit Bjørgen, nordic combined team competition - Magnus Hovdal Moan, Håvard Klemetsen, Magnus Krog and Jørgen Graabak)
4 Silver (Ingvild Flugstad Østberg, Magnus Hovdal Moan, Ståle Sandbech, Tora Berger)
8 Bronze (Anders Bardal, Heidi Weng, Kjetil Jansrud, Magnus Krog, Martin Johnsrud Sundby, Therese Johaug, Tiril Eckhoff; biathlon relay - Fanny Welle-Strand Horn, Tiril Eckhoff, Ann Kristin Aafedt Flatland and Tora Berger)

Norway became the 4th country (I think) to get all medals in an event (after The Netherlands - 4 times in skating, USA in freestyle slopestyle and France in skicross), with gold (Marit Bjørgen), silver (Therese Johaug) and bronze (Kristin Størmer Steira) on the 30 km. :D

Bronze for Henrik Kristoffersen!!! After the first run, I didn't expect this. When everyone else was worried because the second run was really difficult, the Norwegians saw it as a nice challenge, and that mentality put all 3 in the top 12, despite pretty bad first runs. Awesome, just awesome! :D
