I understand you Lupus don't worry  , I was the only guy in the world who felt the same about :il: last year, and even now it's hard for me to accept it won the whole thing. I can't even understand why people think it had musical quality.

Well, about "Arcade" I disagree with you. 9.5 out of 10 for me, and it is not a 10 out of 10 because I have a clear favourite. But they really bad in comments

ISRAEL WAS NOT YOUR FAVORITE LAST YEAR?!!!!!! YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!! #GetZonne147Banned

Nah bro, you didn't hurt me. I guess it's more like:

"This must be the most offensive joke in the history of ESC"
"Guess this was the last invitation for (Zonne147) to join (our forum)".

The last two quotes were taken from the most dangerous comment section of YouTube.

Oh I will happily say that Toy is much worse than Arcade so we agree on that much at least :p

Fair enough on it being one of your favourites! It is looking good for that win right now, so I think you'll be happier than I come May 18th! But as you say, some of the people seem to struggle a little with opinions contrary to their own... :p

That makes three of us!

A funny thing I realized subscribing to this forum is that while I tend to agree/disagree with certain people more/less often, there are often particular cases where the rare person who agrees with me is the one I actually most often disagree with. Shame you can't really understand that in youtube comments sections where you usually don't get to discuss things with the same people on more than one occasion.

I think this song has a real chance of winning. I really like it. I'll be voting for it in the final (positive it'll make it easy).

I like this but I don't want it to win.

I would prefer a song with a bold statement, like Iceland or Italy.

I do not agree, I would prefer a song to win that I like and want to listen over and over again, it doesn't need a kind of statement for me. Arcade is one of my favourites but not the only one. (But of course I would like it to win also because I would like the contest to be hosted in The Netherlands next year.:D)

Is nobody here talking about how it could possibly be disqualified? Arcade has been performed in a YouTube video in June 2017

Yes, that would be great, EBU disqualifying the Netherlands, after not caring that Jamala sang her song long before the deadline. Same for Alma, Alekseev, Anouk. And not caring about the chorus of the Italian song last year which was already used in a commercially released song two years earlier. But now Duncan singing his song at a school performance in a video that was watched less then 500 times is suddenly a reason for disqualification.

Passive agressive irony just isn't original these days

Nor was your original post as it has already been discussed, and since it wasn't commercially released, there's no reason for disqualification. Not sure why you're trying to stir shit up again, but just don't. Trolling just isn't original these days either.

No rules are broken so why should we brother to talk About it? If there where rules broken, and the EBU has confirmed that, it was already all over the place, but it isn’t..it’s No discussion worth.

Who spit in your cheerios this morning. :'D if that's your idea of trolling then you have no idea. The fan aggressiveness around this song is incredibly toxic and sadly isn't original these days either. Obviously the song wont be disqualified and neither should it be. Especially when other songs in the same situation have been allowed - it's all or nothing. However, this is a forum to discuss the songs and stuff going on around it, idk how many times this needs to be said. Not a place to bow down and worship blindly. You may well have discussed it before but doesn't mean Filip (idk If he has actually, I'm assuming here) or a lot of others are aware about it. I mostly certainly didnt know about this video from years ago. xshrug As for my opinion, it shouldn't be disqualified at all. If it had clearly broken rules then it should be and being a fave shouldnt protect it. I know other were allowed because so few people had seen it to cause an real advantage. Which is the case here.

I really like this song and it is in my top 10, but honestly, I think that it is a song that you have heard a thousand times before. It has nothing special. I hope (but probably in vain) to see Iceland or Portugal winning. These would be great choices. :D
