I don't thnk so, he will have a tough fight with Sergey/Luca and John in their semi & Manhood in the final for jury voting.

I think Luca and Sergey are pretty much out of the question when it comes to jury vote.
I think it's going to be between Duncan, Mahmood and John.

There is no way Luca and Sergey gets more votes than Duncan on juries. Maybe on televoting but now way on juries. John has some chances get more juryvotes but he will be lower on televoting.

Don't forget that Sergey is already know person for the jury and his song is worty to get more points with jury than televoting + he have the biggest fanbase out from the male competidors from this year ESC for years! ;) Duncan will need to stick to his current Hype and jury voting, cause i don't think that the staging and televoting will help him to win, unless that his staging will be simple but effective like the Dami Im one's.

I don't know if this was posted here, but Belgian producer Hans Pannecoucke who directed Common Linnets ESC staging, but also from Douwe Bob's , Manel Navarro and Sennek will be the director of his staging at ESC 2019!

Popularity wouldn't win you jury vote. If that is the case, Cascada would have won hers that year since she is one of the biggest mainstream artists back then. And Sergey's song is not jury-friendly at all. So I would believe he is not going to win or sway the jury vote.

That's like a hit and miss there. Common Linnets' and Douwe Bob's staging were good, Manel's one was decent but Sennek's one was disastrous. Hopefully, he will get Duncan's staging right.

Let us hope Hans Pancake actually puts in work this year. He has more failures on his conto than successes. (Linnets and Laura are his only good stagings, tbh)

Also Sergey is never winning. His song is good, but worse than before, and even if I don't take into account the Eurovision sins of being calculated, desperate, tryhard and Russian, I do not see how he could to better than his previous placement.

Still don't buy Duncan as our winner (the preshow winner never wins, except for Netta, who went WorldWide Viral prior ro the contest.)

Slow Down's staging was a huuuuuuuuuge risk though. Like, the staring into your fucking soul and judging all your sins camera angle could've easily backfired had it gone on longer. It paid off, ~somewhat~, with 11th place being a fair score for what it was. Lea did it better. :-)

but, I mean Mr.Pancake is responsible for:

- Trijnwreck's horrendous, morose staging including a generous dose of closed-up hagface (Tamta better watch out this year because Old Age is catching up with her, no matter how many times she tries to statch Bilal's wig and Charlotte Perelli's make-up artist), an awful neon colour palette, including blacklighted L- O- V- E letters pasted on Trijntje's wrinkled paw. It was a collaborative effort (Trijntje really was The Little Engine That Couldn't and jeezus that outfit), but the pathos was so palpable and sullen it made "Aina mun pittää" a palate cleanser.

- ZiBBZ's elongated camera angles, on a song that is fucking uptempo and thrives on its action-packed beat.

- Sennek's Omnishambles (though, much like Trijntje, this was a collaborative effort, and Hans's impact was about the 4th most detrimental at best)

- Whatever the monstruosity that made up 'Outlaw in 'em''s staging was. (protip: if your staging requires a long-winded, pedantic explanation to be understood by casuals (no one knows what kramping is, nor does anyone care.), it's fucking shit staging, period.)

- Manel's, which fell apart after five seconds when he turned the staging for what as an uplifting, touching song into a YOLO brofest, ~SuRfZ uP~.

Like, out of eight entries, he murdered 4.5 entries by himself, did An Okay Job on one and nailed two. That's not what I would call a great staging director. Even Sabo-Tage Baptiste has a better track record and she has one stinker every fucking year. (She's coming for you Tamta )

I do have faith he won't entirely fuck up "Arcade"'s staging because Duncan really is that good, but I'm prepared for something slow-paced with many intense close-ups of Duncan's face.

Definitely agree. In the semi, I think Duncan is at an advantageous position because he has a calming song after three big, bold songs in a row (Russia, Albania, Norway) so I think the juries will take that into consideration. He would need a good place in the final if he wants to stand out against the likes of Mahmood

As for staging, various outlets have asked him about it, but he has said he wants the song to be the main focus. I'm sure he's likely conveyed this to his team. Ilse is his mentor and likely liaison between him and the rest of the team, I think she wants what's best for him

They'd better nailed that shit, lest Duncan become known as 'the fave from BEFORE it ALL echoed echoed and flopped'. But as long as he doesn't do any of this-

To much drama in her act, nope Duncan isn’t like that, he is much more the opposite I think.

What drama, lol? Flailing around like a choking fish and accidentally impersonating Edvard Munch's Skrik isn't drama. Her problem was that there wasn't any, in a song which desperately needed it.

It's all about cashing in on the strengths of a song. "Arcade's" strength is its intimacy, which could be an easy job for the same man who did CATS. "Arcade" doesn't need much, the song sells itself, as long as Duncan can avoid looking like a gimp during the performance.
