I should trust in my taste more than any forums or bets. our song, Italian and Greek songs were in my top 5, I found them simply amazing. And they all finished in top 10.

I won't say blatantly that people are over-exaggerating the issue between Armenia and Azerbaijan, because some issues might exist in reality (I'm not too aware of it). However, I'm more than sure that Azerbaijan will be very civil and very welcoming to the participants, it's a show watched by 120+ million European people and I don't think Azerbaijan wants to denigrate their image of their country by being uncivil to Armenians in the contest. They have their reputation as a country at stake, so I'm more than sure that they will be careful. If Armenia doesn't want to participate, that's up to them, but I don't think that Azerbaijan would deliberately not allow it.

I told before and repeat again Armenian sportsmen come and leave our country safe and sound, last winter the group of Russian singers were in Baku, and there was an originally Armenian too. She was greeted and welcome just like the others.

I just didn't want people saying exaggeratedly bad things about your country :)

You know what, I want Eldar and Nigar to be our hosts next year. Eldar speaks 4 languages and he is going to learn French too, Nigar is very pretty and she speaks English fluently. They are nice and charismatic.

It was a wonderful and exciting night and congrats to Azerbaidschan. I´m sure, you will be a great host next year.
About the result of Italy: I was positively surprised, I never thought that. This is a great result.
I´m happy for Lena to be in TOP 10, thanks for all, who voted for her. She did an amazing job on stage.
I´m surprised about the results of France, Hungary and Estonia. I expected higher places.

About votings of yesterday. Of course, it seems, that there are many blokvotings, but it´s a fact, that people who live in a special region, mostly have a similar taste, so it´s normal, that they vote for songs, which are their taste. Look at the Russian result of yesterday. Even Belarus only give Russia 5 points. Also the Croatian votes for Bosnia-Herzegowina weren´t the highest points. So I don´t think, that Azerbaidschan only won because of so many votes from EX-USSR-countries.
Last year Lena won by giving votes from all over Europe. And Germany isn´t a country where people are living all over Europe. I think, with a good song, every country has the chance for winning.
I must say, that Azerbaidschan is a deserved winner - I was sure, after I heard all performances.
xyeah
Very unexpected results. I'm a little bit unsettled about France:cry:, Estonia:cry:and Hungary  while Georgia and Greece got too high results But the winner is ok and I'm impresed by high results of Italy and Ukraine I'd like to Thank everyone who voted for Ukraine

Congrats to Azerbaijan! With your great results since your debut it was only a matter of time before you'd win the whole thing. I hadn't really seen this coming but I guess there's something about these male-female duets (like our entry last year) that really appeals to a lot of people.

I'm absolutely certain that Azerbaijan will put on a great show and it's impressive how you guys have already established an ESC-culture within so few years. Looking forward to Baku!

As regards our own result it was just as I expected. The members of the band told afterwards that they were disappointed but I still think 5th is amazing and truly something to be proud of. As long as DR maintain their high ambitions about winning ESC then I'm sure it might happen for us soon.

One way of dealing with the neighbor-voting could be to allow countries to vote for themselves. I'm guessing a great deal of the neighbor-voters would vote for their own entry instead. It would also be interesting to see which countries do not give 12 points to themselves.

Damn.... I lost my 9 euro! :lol::lol::lol:
Anyway, I totally expected it, because Estonia was bad last night. I didn't expect such low position but I knew I lost the money I bet.

For the record, last night I voted for Italy, I loved every second of it and I am very very very very very glad for 2nd place. I really missed Italy's class all these years.

Now, my biggest surprise was the fact that we finished 7th, although I didn't believe our entry would be in the Top 10. Another big surprise was the fact that we didn't get points from Turkey for our zeybekiko, which I thought they would appreciate, and a bigger even surprise the fact that didn't get points from the UK. Continuing with our entry, I was also surprised by the fact that we finished 1st in the semi. I am very happy after all the crap that was laid on us!;)

About France, Amaury was really really bad, so no wonder he finished so low.

Finally, my last comment is for the winner. Congratulations, totally deserved victory. Last night they were simply amazing and they also prevented my heart-attack, while watching Ukraine's position going up and up!

Ahhhh...........so that was it...... I hate the morning after!

Italy is high  ... but on the other hand no one really thought EBU would let them be out of Top5 XD Its all about the money
Sweden was amazing... best performance that day... deserved Top3
Ukraine is a bit overrated... there were better ballads there (Maja)... Greece too >,> And they won their semi... I mean wtf?
Happy that Lena and Jeds are Top10... well deserved
Ahaha at Blue... they could XD
Moldova is another wtf right there -.- I mean really? >,> And its above Slovenia... who is terribly underrated...
Ahahahahahah at France XD This somewhy makes me really happy...
Hungary is sooooooo underrated >,>
And hahah at Estonia...

The results were really weird XD

AND DID THE DANISH GUY SAY "I WANNA F**K YOU" WHEN THEY GOT THEIR FIRST 12 or was it just me >,>

Firstly a huge well done to Azerbaijan, fab song and it’s nice to see a country that has never won the competition come first.

Secondly I was gobsmacked and some of the results that came out of last night’s contest.

Hungary, Estonia and France... i can’t understand this, these countries were among the bookies favourites and yet they did so poor. Switzerland didn’t deserve to come in 25th place.

I had a feeling that jedward weren’t going to win for Ireland as they really can’t sing that well, the rely on the backing singers to do the most work, which brings me onto Sweden, Eric sounded shattered and its wasn’t the best performance of the contest, if he couldn’t of handled it he shouldn’t of pranced around so much on the stage. It amazes me how Greece and Ukraine always seem to do so well.

United Kingdom again did so poor, after all of the praise, I really didn’t enjoy the show as much this year... I think with should have a poor act again next year I’m bound to like the show much... even if my tax payers £283,000 is going towards funding the contest... im not actually bothered about them not winning really.

Here is my top 5 that I would have liked.

1. Azerbaijan
2. Bosnia
3. Denmark
4. Italy
5. Austria

A closing comment again, the best song won

Azerbaijan for me was the best performance of the night ans as always in my top 5 songs so I'm happy with the result in ters of them winning. Some of he rest of the order suprised me, I thought Hugary and Estonia would do much better and I did not exepct Bosnia and Georgia to do that well, but Gerogia went last and she did give a good performance so that may have won it some extra votes. Well done to Italy, a fine result for them on their comback. Role on Baku 2012.

Well, I must say that no matter how harsh it sounds.

It was a pleasure to watch the final without Armenia and Turkey receiving high diaspora points.
If only Scandinavians and ex-USSR had better taste, the show would've been perfect awesomness.
