-sen can be either Danish or Norwegian (-son in Sweden/Iceland), but Gunnarsen is probably way more common in Norway than Denmark. I’m imagining a Dane saying Gunnarsen, and it just feels wrong. Has a better ring to it in Norwegian.
Thanks for clearing this! (y)
Yup, I've always associated -sen with Denmark for some reason... Read a lot Hans Christian Andersen in my childhood :D

I know this basically is a Loreen appreciation thread at this point, but I have to ask - are there any other #TeamSmashIntoPieces people here? I think Loreen just overshadowed everyone else in the competiton with her popularity, but to be fair "Six Feet Under" is just phenomenal!
I stan them for second place and I will keep checking out their discography (also I don’t even have another choice because my boyfriend loved them even before they were announced for Mello) but I do in fact like Loreen’s whole package a bit more. But last year they would have been by far my number one (to this day I hear the „Apparently-Kid“ whenever Cornelia sings, so I can’t take her seriously, even though I get why people love her. But there is just something about her voice that makes my Brain go „apparently I‘ve never been on tv before“ and so on).

Well, I like "Six Feet Under" A LOT! Already in my playlist and on repeat. Loreen too, actually. On the other hand, I do admit to myself that SiP cannot win this time. The Loreen hype is much too big. And I'm totally ok with that.

Me too, been a fan of them for years! And while I‘m admittedly not too enthusiastic about Six Feet Under, sadly, I can truly recommend checking out their older stuff. Their last album wasn’t that good either, but
'Unbreakable' and 'Apocalypse DJ' and 'Rise and shine' are awesome!

I also like their song. I like almost every song in the Melfest GF this year. The SFs were weak but the GF line up is really strong. Btw. Loreen has crossed 1 Mio. clicks. I'm so happy for her. This is a great comeback. I don't care if she wins Eurovision or not, she has already won in a way. I hope we get new music and maybe an album from her.

I was thinking earlier today about the different age groups and who they'll vote for. The younger ones will go for M&M, or maybe Kiana, while the teens to young adults will maybe favour SIT while the middle-aged to older generations will hopefully be more Loreen.

When it comes to the international juries, I can't see anyone but Loreen walking that section of the voting xheat

When you finally get the chance to watch the lyric video for Tattoo on YouTube and you realise that the angels aren't crying because of all the violence that's playing... No, no, that's violins that are playing, not violence xfaint

Why am I so rubbish with lyrics???

To be honest I can see Loreen easily getting 12 from all the voting groups, maybe bar the 3-9s.

To be fair to her, the emphasis on "violins" in the song makes it sound more like "violence" since you'd be more inclined to pronounce that word with just two stressed syllables, rather than the trio of syllable that violins has.

Ugh I've just actually realised I potentially won't see Loreen's win a week on Saturday as I'm driving to London and my friend wants to take me out for dinner... xcry

Whose idea was it to hire Cazzi Opeia as a songwriter

Oh, I'm reminded of this comment.
I guess K-Pop labels do.

I'm pretty sure Loreen will win Schalgerfestivalen this year. I still would like to see Panetoz win but Loreen is just playing in her own league this year.

Grattis Loreen, väldigt väl genomfört.
