Sweden should look at their neighbours: Norway's NF was so much better, Finland has a great line-up (and they have only a small number of songs - but yes, last year was better and more diverse, I think).
Last year was en exception for Sweden when the best (and only good song for me) song actually won (and it was in my top 5!). At least for me personally there are so many better NFs (and there are many weak ones, I admit) this year.

Idas snippet sounds interesting and she gets a plus point for singing in swedish! Melanies song sounds interesting, too. Marcus and Martinus songs is probably my favorite.

Again a very generic line-up but I kinda like it the most out of the three heats so far. Melodi Grand Prix is the new gold standard imo. It's was so much better than Melfest 2023. I still listen to the songs and have them on my playlist. Even the songs that didn't qualify were good.

Marcus and Martinus gonna be top 3 in the melfest final, they can even steal this.

True. Maria and Loreen as Top2 and M+M 3rd as Things are standing right now.

01 Marcus & Martinus – Air 8/10
02 Nordman – Släpp alla sorger 8/10
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
03 Laurell – Sober 7/10
04 Ida-Lova – Låt hela stan se på 7/10
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
05 Casanovas – Så kommer känslorna tillbaka 6/10
06 Paul Rey – Royals 6/10
07 Melanie Wehbe – For The Show 4/10

This semi is better then the last, but Semi 1 was still the best. The songs here are really close together, i have not clear faves here. This is a really enjoyable semi, but i hope semi 4 bring some hits, if not this MF turn out to be really average, Norway and Finland are much stronger this year. My overall Top would be at the moment, Jon, Maria & Tone.

My Prediction

Final: Marcus & Martinus
Final: Casanovas
--------------------------------------------
AC: Paul Rey
AC: Nordman
---------------------------------------------
5th Laurell
6th Melanie Wehbe
7th Ida-Lova

Just listened to the snippets and I'm gonna watch the rehearsal clips now. Based only on the snippets I was bored to death. Nothing stood out after one listening.

But, Afro-Dite will perform on Saturday so who cares about the competing songs (once again!)? Last Saturday 2/4 of Alcazar and now my Afro-Dite! Awwwwww

Afrodite was such an undeserved flop and I rooted for them when I wasn’t a Sweden hater. However I knew Latvia was winning after they performed

I wouldn't call the 8th place a flop but ok.

They won't perform any of their Melodifestivalen songs. ;)

Ok so Marcus & Martinus are BY FAR the best choice so far for Eurovision... The question is if the people will feel wierd about voting for norweigans in the final? The relationship between us is quite infected let's just say that

Oh boy, this has to be the weakest and most generic bunch of mass-produced songs in a long while. Terrible, almost all the way through. Marcus & Martinus have the obvious standout track here, even though it's kind of the same genre, there's still enough to make it stand out, and i wouldn't count them out as a possible winner.

The second DTF might really be anyone, i kinda liked parts of Laurell's song even though her vocal style is annoying, maybe it will be less grating in the live version and i'm curious to see and hear the whole thing. Paul Rey were as generic as expected and none of the other acts really stand out in any way to me, even Nordman's song is more modern radio pop than usual for them.
