seriously what's the fuss with Maria Sur

i mean, are we all gonna pretend it wouldn't come maximum 5th if it was sung by Felicia Olssson or molly petersson hammar?

it feels like Melodifestivalen has entered middle-age crisis, Norway's MGP is the rising star of the decade

This whole ''it's just because she's Ukrainian!'' thing is getting old. Swedes have always loved and consumed power ballads. Sarah Dawn Finer's Moving On was the most streamed song on the radio in Sweden in 2009 and it doesn't exactly have brilliant lyrics. General Swedish public are not as picky as the average Eurovision fans about things having to be so unique and new, and it's crazy to me so many Eurovision fans keep being surprised the general public doesn't have the same taste as them, a hardcore Eurovision fan. I'm not exactly defending the quality of the lyrics in the song but it gave me goosebumps because when she sings it sounds like a studio version, and it's dramatic.

Besides, check your references because MPH was recently #1 on Spotify Sweden, so she is beloved as well.

@A-lister

How are you satisfied with Maria Sur? :p:Dit is freakin unbeliavable how the perfromance is so similar to Tusse Chiza - "Voices" even the way and time backings appear on the stage is almost the same. :ROFLMAO: Love how Swedish audience "swallow" these "stories" and such songs..
Oh look, a Serbian questioning the authenticity of a Ukrainian, never seen that before

Praying to the ESC gods Loreen will have a great staging concept, a good track only wont be enough for her to win against Maria's sob story.

Hope Sweden give Marcus & Martinus the :fi: Krista Sigfrieds treatment. Remember they are only there for promotion.

Martin and Martinus are auditioning for the role of Eric Saade it seems. The worst part is that Air might be the best out of these 7.

Song #3 sounds nice too. Royals is kinda eh but a likely qualifier.

Ida-Lova's verses start nice but the pre-chorus/chorus loses me.

Did they just post the most exciting parts of each song to build hype? Heat 1 and 2 had the 1st minute iirc. Mello is desperate?
