Honestly he even negated his point with the initial statement saying that "I really think (or hope tbh) this won’t be a televote magnet" while stating that this would be a "bad sign for the contest" or whatever. Though how could it be hurtful for the reception of contest as whole if Sweden wins due to being a "televoting magnet". Like ... in that case the people out there voted for it ... why would the exact same people turn their backs on the contest then.

Either way. Thanks for trying to clarify things a little. I'm way too much of an old hag these days to explain myself in lengthy posts. Don't judge ... I'm turning 30 tomorrow haha.
Well in that case I don’t have much more time to make lengthy posts either and should make use of the time I have left, if by 29 you‘ve already grown out of it, I have one and a half years at max.

Expect an essay on how important the words „to me“ are in the Eurovision fandom in 3-5 Business days.

b) where are these "hateful answers"? I'm just curious because as stated earlier people tend to be very thin skinned these days and throw around the word "hate(er)" very loosely.

I‘m far from thin skinned that’s why I answered to being called "dumbass" and more with a joke because I don’t care, maybe it’s the age, it doesn’t really matter if someone wants to insult me, I‘ve seen worse in life.

I just brought it up to show that others, for some reason, are constantly feel the need to quote my posts and write "You can’t, you shouldn’t, you mustn’t, you are a conspiracy theorist, you are delusional, you’re a dumbass, everyone in Europe but you thought it was shit" etc.

Anyway ——>

a) I didn't say that you attacked anyone. All I said was that you tend to get into a conversation/discussion with people which is basically the purpose of this forum.

You said "argue" and also, discussion is something else than… nevermind. I‘m tired of this. This is the Sweden-Thread and I don’t want it to get more posts than the German this year. ;) So I‘m off.

Uhhhhm alright. So you don't want people to reply to your posts? Then maybe idk ... don't post? From what I can gather it does kinda seem like you are pretty sensitive and/or cannot handle different opinions than your own (which would be super funny because you are the one who brought up that this forum is allegedly full of people like that). Now I cannot judge on how some people have treated you as I haven't seen any of the comments you are referring to but truth be told, you do give off "thin-skinned vibes" in this very moment. Like ... I wasn't mean or unfair to you for example and yet you still come with this "urgh I'm tired of this"-attitude.

Again, this is a place for discussion and conversation. If you post in here you can be relatively sure that someone is going to reply. Freedom of speech does not mean being free from being criticized/called out/talked about or whatever.

She came back with great song. For me it´s :12: points and 3rd place, but I don´t want this to win. We should give chance to another country (:cz:).

What a slayer she is. An absolute joy to see some fans senselessly hating on her out of pure fear for their favourites :xo:

I honestly think that it´s such juvenile and immature behaviour. All these hateful and "below the belt" comments on FB, Wiwibloogs etc. like "the song is totally overrated and even if Loreen farts, she would be the winner". - I can´t believe that grown-up men come up with such comments (and there are many of them online).
It´s totally alright to believe that the song is slightly "dated" or "not the best one" but I feel so embarrassed to be part of the fandom when I read some of these comments.... it´s not like "Tattoo" is the worst song in history and Loreen had already encounted two failed attempts at Melodifestivalen (2011 "My Heart Is Refusing Me" and 2017 "Statements"), her career went downhill (she´s basically become a "one-hit" wonder). Instead of being fair and happy that a former Eurovision winner wants to come back, they spread so much hate.... and it´s not like Loreen came back with "That´s How You Write A Song".

Whole-heartedly agree, though I will say that there are some Loreen stans who are quite aggressively „promoting“ her as well, which turns the situation into some kind of vicious cycle. Like haters and lovers are perpetuating this toxicity (am I the only one who thinks this must sonically be one of the funniesr words the English language has to offer? Like on the one hand it rolls of your tongue like melted Butter, but on the other hand there are also some shards of glass in the mix) to the same amount. And, also important to remember, other artists also get equally harsh comments. But yeah, putting Loreen down for being a favorite has become some peoples‘ favorite Sport and I hate to see it. The Euro fandom always gets complimented for being so awesome and Inclusive etc., but I personally don’t think it’s true. Like yes, I am truly happy to meet a lot of you guys online and to be able to talk and discuss, but there are some vile people in the fandom too, especially on twitter and I had a hard time adjusting to it at first.

You meet this kind of persons in every fandom though, it´s not an Eurovision exclusive problem.

That’s definitely true, though I am personally perceiving it as more in the Eurovision fandom. But A) thats likely because I usually stay away from other fandoms, and B) there is the competitive aspect around Eurovision.

Twitter generally brings out the worst part of people in every subject and has became a toxic place to be. Everywhere else i read about Eurovision the situation is much better.
Although i see that Loreen receives some kind of hate in Wiwibloggs comments too.

I don't like her song but she seems like a nice lady.

The problem is some fans just goo too far when they don't like an entry that is among the favorites to win.
I'm sorry, but we can have the so-called problem reversed with people bullying others into telling them that they're in the wrong for not liking Loreen's entry this year. Honestly speaking, this is Loreen's weakest attempt yet, even though she won Melodifestivalen with it.

Some people need to comprehend and to accept the fact that there are far better entries this year, which will surely do much better than Sweden. Of course, Loreen elevates Tattoo and it's great, but let's face it - it's not a very original entry, neither is it the strongest contender to win it all.

You are right about the fact that there are Loreen fans that take it too far. For sure, and that’s equally not okay as hating on Loreen is.

However, aren’t you doing the same as you accuse people of doing right there?

It's not a fact but rather a personal opinion. For me it may not be Euphoria but every time i listen to Tattoo i forget everything else like it's a league on it's own and her performance is absolutely amazing. The only other entry i love so much is EAEA which has a unique magic but i know that it is much more difficult for the wider audience.

Might be a bit biased, granted, although I absolutely love Tattoo myself though. I'm just feeling like some people on Twitter specifically need to touch some grass before talking about being respectful towards every artist, while they're ready to fight over how well Loreen is going to do or not. I mean, we're not even 100% sure she'll be pulling off a win à la 2012 or if she's even in contention to be considered as a huge contender. We didn't even get to see the rehearsals footage so far.

I'm glad you mention Eaea, because it's what Tattoo aspired to be imho. Again, if Loreen goes on to win, I'll be totally on board with it though.
