What surprises me is that he didn't won the televote by that much. Yeah, 5% is a clear victory but it wasn't the landslide I was expecting.

This is a big mess...   I tried to ask "Melodifestivalen-crew" if I could vote AFTER the international juries.... but NO response. I ask at this forum.... and no respons.... Soooo, what happened.... well. If you DON*T KNOW the rules everything is a surprice. And if you can't get the rules from this forum or SVT or ESC-TV.... well then you're screeeweed... :( Pretty much.....
They said right before they announced the International Jury result that we could still vote. And there was a recap and everything after, hence - we could still vote.

Maybe there was no response here because those who saw your post weren't sure at the time?

To be fair, people (inside the Eurovision-bubble) hate almost everything from Sweden lately - apparently Sweden is the new Russia

I loved every Swedish entry since 2013. I never liked Heroes and I really repel this one... I have nothing against Sweden, and I think very few of us hate it because of two songs... we're making problems where they don't exist imo :)

Congratulations to Frans and to Sweden! I will repeat myself - from the first snippet of this song I was blown away by it, it is really special to me, positive, lovely, unique, I like everything about this song. Completely deserved victory and it jumps immediately to my 2nd place in Eurovision list of last several years (right behind Estonia's Goodbye to Yesterday). Good luck to Frans in Stockholm, I really hope you can bring your country 2nd victory in a row! :)

The press apparently really doesn't fancy Frans at all. The folks that are interviewing him, apparently he is being really rude to the media and everyone around him. I wonder what's going on.

I asked SVT like two days ago and still today there was no response...

YOU responded several minutes AFTER the result... (yeah, thanks for that... You hate everything sent from Sweden.... Why did you not respond my questions if you're so worried about the Swedish songs???)

Can you give us any examples?

From what they're telling me, he doesn't look at them, gives short answers and says after every question if they're done. When they're not on camera, he basically is not acknowledging their existence at all. Apparently just a very unlikable guy from what people are telling me.

I will find out myself in Stockholm I suppose.

What was striking this year was that many of the singers were so young. I think you could have say they represent a new generation of MF contestants, a generation that grew up while MF was something considered cool, something to strive towards. Take Lisa Ajax for example. At the age of six she decided that in the future she wants to compete in music. Frans got his first hit when he was seven and Isa was five when she competed in music for the first time.

YES, ofcourse I'm unhapp... No important response was let to the Swedish voters...
Huh? Gina and William declared live on TV several minutes before the televoting was closed that we could still vote. I didn't know the rules for the voting this year when the show started tonight, but Gina and William let us know loud and clear that you could still vote after the IJ. If you didn't know this, that means you didn't listen. Not SVT's fault. xshrug They got 12 million votes, seems like plenty of people knew when to vote. ;)

Oh well, guess that's Sweden not popping up in my personal top 10 for the 4th year running. Would have loved to see Robin or Wiktoria representing one of my former favourite eurovision countries (Wiktoria without that horrible video projection performance though), but ah well. Very forgettable song and, man does his accent annoy the crap out of me. :? Why is he wasting three minutes of our time singing about a mental state he's obviously not in (you're NOT sorry, we get it already! :p ). I'll give it a 3.

He looks pretty arrogant to me tbh. Throw some shade if it's necessary xqueenbitch

He looks like he's just incredibly shy and nervous and probably doesn't know what to say. It's not uncommon for Swedes to not look at the people we talk to. Maybe he's feeling stressed or something because everyone wants to talk to him and he's never been in that situation before? xshrug

I don't like the winner... I can't say about the contenders because I haven't followed MF, but this choice is just boring for me. Another year giving a fat zero to Sweden.

That was my first thought as well but even my Swedish folks said this. I can only report on what they're saying.

The kid is so annoying and the song is okayish.... Very repetitive. Wish Robin would have won. Loved his performance and his song is much better imo ;)

I agree completely. He seems very shy to me. Most others have been seen in media quite a lot before.
