I think you just should not vote for the names, but for the songs. That's all ;)
The Swedish people will never stop voting for artists. Even the juries vote for artists instead of songs most of the time. Maybe we should scrap the national juries altogether and go with a 100% international jury because they won't give a fig about Swedish celebrities since they won't even know who they are.

I agree. We should have more new people working on Melodifestivalen. Different song writers, remove Björkman, new choreographs etc. If Europe doesn't like what we send these days, we can't just bring in small new elements every year and expect it to make wonders so that we win.

Out with the old and in with the new, I say!
SVT have choreographers for ESC? Who would've guessed going by the past few years' entries? The choreography have been a joke for the past decade. Most of the time, it's swaying on the spot or pacing back and forth.

I could do much better and my only qualifications are being a quasi-dancer (practitioner of the very niche dance style of Para Para) and gay. And even those meager qualifications trump those of the SVT's "choreographers". Seriously, fire them all.

But Sweden is not a borderline 3rd world country which cannot afford to hire proper choreographers for our Eurovision entries. We just hire shoddy choreographers!

I know
Most of just really can't help that most people are clueless about what has a chance of working in eurovision or this year just chose another ballad in a sea of ballads and slow songs

It's not a hate group, it's a protest against what he is doing to eurovision in his domain... and we swedes are the first to feel the pain lol

I actually think the song is alright - generic chorus, but alright. There were far worse songs tonight that did qualify. So I am a little surprised. Cyprus for example - totally generic and forgettable entry.

As for Christer Björkman, I'm all for getting rid of him. However, the songs that compete in Melodifestivalen do become hits on the swedish radio so they can't be completely useless in a mainstream sense, and I strongly believe that there were songs this year that would've qualified and possibly given Sweden a top 10 in ESC. Darin comes to mind, (not that I really cared for the song, but it would've appealed to both east and west)

I don't think Björkman is THAT bad, but he's clearly not bringing anything new to the table. He can continue being a supervisor or something, but right now he has too much power, forcing his own taste in music down our throats time and time again. And like the sheep we are, we're just sitting there, singing along to whatever generic tune he wants us to. Having said that, I still think Anna Bergendal did what she could tonight. And I still like the verse. It has potential. Shame about the chorus.

But that's not his job being the head of Sweden's Eurovision Song Contest delegation. His job as head of the Swedish ESC delegation is to find Sweden the songs that are going to make a big splash at Eurovision.

And he clearly isn't doing his job, especially not when he gives songs that are clearly not going to do well at Eurovision to popular Swedish artists that he knows will get many votes purely because of they are (Charlotte Perelli comes to mind), thus he's giving given winner candidates songs that Europe will shun, thus sabotaging Sweden's chances.

Who cares about Svensktoppen? If Melodifestivalen were about Svensktoppen, we'd just stop competing in Eurovision to save millions on taxpayer money each each.
