I would want to know which countries of those whose televote does count generates the least votes, which the split results wouldn't even tell me.
Yeah, that is basically what I was trying to say.

Sweden has big televoting figures, San Marino only uses jury
But I think that people from vote in so it's not exactly 100 % jury. It's just that their votes are counted as a country. If you look at it, it's actually nice as the people from can vote for their own country while living in that country
I do not think this is the case.
Nethrlands higher then Italy in jury, equal in televoters, in the end Italy 7th and Netherlands 9th?
While I share your sentiment in that I wish countries didn't seek out Swedish composers for their entries, I honestly can't blame any one of them for doing it. The sad reality is that this sound is very appealing to people these days. Look how well these songs do at ESC, especially with the juries - even if terribly performed (ex: Georgia). Then you have a country that dares to send something ethnic and even a good performance won't save it (ex: Croatia). And yes, maybe ESC is intended to showcase music from different countries and regions, but it's a contest afterall. And at the end of the day, you want to win or at least end up doing well. Since that's the case, why would Azerbaijan send something 'national' and end up like Bulgaria, which hasn't qualified in forever, when they can afford to pay a couple thousands and safely end up in the top five?
I think the biggest negative that has come from the introduction of juries is the effect it has had on variety of music at ESC. I don't always agree with televotes. In fact, my taste is probably more aligned with the juries' votes. But one can't deny that it's fun to have all kinds of styles in the final, even if some of the songs may not be your taste. I HATE this year's Bulgaria's entry, but honestly, it would've made for a more interesting entry than Georgia did. I don't necessarily love Montenegro either, but it would've been a better qualifier than Estonia.
I went quick through the following 20+ pages but found no answer, did somebody resolve this mystery?
^ Still they can figure out where the phone calls come from. Don't know about SMS though.
Lol, they placed Armenia last just as I thought. And wow at their bottom 4 in the semi!! Poor Croatia!
The Eurovision scoring system only gives points to songs that are in a country's top 10 so, for scoring purposes, finishing 11th is exactly the same as finishing 25th. Despite that, finishing 11th is far better for your average placing than finsihing 25th. Therefore, the average placings that the EBU have released do not actually tell us where each country finished in the jury or the televoting so it is very possible that Italy were in fact higher than the Netherlands in both televotes and juries.
For example, Netherlands and Italy had an average placing of around 12th with the televoters but the Netherlands could have finished 12th with everyone and got no points whereas Italy could have finished 1st with a lot of televotes then had other countries placing them 23rd which would drag their average down to match the Netherlands even though there is no practical difference between 12th and 23rd in terms of points scored.
So basically, Greece won the televote ?
No basically Denmark won, they got the most votesSo basically, Greece won the televote ?
Might have.
Belgium (obviously), Malta and Hungary once again did very good in televote.
