Re: SPAIN 2014

Is me or Adelen´s Bombo song (Norway NF) is going to be a hit in Spain? I can hear all the time in the spanish radio channels (Maxima FM, Europa etc...). Maybe if we send something like that in spanish could be a great idea XD.

Yeah, I was in shock the other day! I heard it in the bus and I was like OMG is there any eurofan there with his i-Pod too loud?? I've left my mobile with the music playing?? And in the end it was the radio!

Anyway, to send something like that, we better find a good singer! Adelén could hardly give a note!

You can try with some reggaeton from South America in Spanish, that can be smth new and fresh for ESC! :)

OMG no pls. I hate Reggaeton, i think is better send something like Ave Maria of Bisbal than Reggaeton. Only think in Pintbull making his shitting rap and making a cheap version of an a classic song, only the idea is going to make me mad....

It doesn't need to be in Pitbull style, it can be like this :) :

I'm sorry but I think that song you posted above is terrible :?

I love many reggaeton songs cause they are perfect for party, but I see two problems here:

1- They don't represent Spain at all.
2- They wouldn't work in ESC. Juries would kill it with no mercy.

Is very difficult to send Amaral to ESC. I don´t think if they want. But if they go, i prefier the first kind of music they sang. They became so much indy now a days. But something like Te Necesito could be great XD.

But i think is the chance of Roko. She has a very good voice, she won a very famous TV Show in Spain (in Antena 3 a private TV Channel). In Tu Cara Me Suena, they must imitate a famous singers.

Sh!t! The imitation of Loreen was awesome! If we forget about the accent and the small lyric-mess up. :p

I think there are quite some millions of Latinos who follow and love this genre living in Spain for a long time, so even reggaeton is not my cup of tea (although I like some songs) it can easily represent Spain as part of its current culture. It's even more representative than "Europe's living a celebration" which was a huge hit there. So, IMHO that is not a good reason, culture is dinamic and changes or transform over the time.

That's not the problem. Not only latinos follow and love this genre. Many Spaniards (including myself ) love to dance reggaeton in the clubs. But so far, that music comes from America (except K-Narias or some similar group in Canarian Islands), no one does this kind of music in Spain.
The day some people start to make reggaeton in Spain (no matter if they are originally Spanish or Latin Americans), this genre will represent Spain. Until then, it doesn't.

About Reggaeton...
Do you really think that still listening reggaeton now a days in Spain? I dont think so...
The "reggaeton" that we can hear now in Spain is very different than 5/7 years ago. Now we can hear an uptempo elektro-reggaeton or elektro-latino (like pitbull, juan magan etc..)... is a fussion about reggaeton and eurodance/elektro style. Is the result of a fussion about two cultures.
All of you know that Spain was a very important country about Eurodance music (all of spaniars knows La Ruta del Bakalao hahahaha), and the time was changing and mixing this two styles XD.

Well, I wouldn't call "La ruta del bakalao" eurodance at all

There is still reggaeton though. It's true that electro-latino, which is quite genuine Spanish style, is more popular now, but there's still reggaeton. I wouldn't put Pitbull into the electro latino style though. He just keep feauturing other famous singers and keeps repeating "ya tu sabeh", "mamasita" and that's all...

Re: SPAIN 2014

"Several"??? :D xlove

If she ever comes back I'd like to see her with an up-tempo song. Definitely not with another ballad. I want her to show that she can sing anything. Not "oh that lady with the ballad again".

Aaaand we found the perfect up-tempo song!

Now pick her and this song internally and welcome back to the top 10!!! #let_me_dream_a_bit_longer

Sorry but that up-tempo song of Pastora is horrible.
Spain has to send a ballad, that's their best in Eurovision.

xshock Ok. We're enemies! (O)

 <--this is JUST to show you that I'm (kinda) kidding and it's not personal. If it was another member with whom I have talked about Pastora, the emoticon wouldn't be there.
