Re: SPAIN 2014

^ The music reminds me of Turkey 2007! :p So yes, xpuke

Trying to copy Turkey didn't give Belarus any success this year and I seriously doubt it will work for Spain. NONO

Quit while your ahead and before you make a fool out of yourself!!! I hope it doesn't pan out like this xpray

Re: SPAIN 2014

I haven't heard about Roser before... After having listened to some of her music I understand why. Even though I do like "latin-floured" easy pop - none of the songs I heard from Roser did it for me.

If anything Belarus tried to copy... well... Spain

And considering how dated the Belarussian entry sounded, it did pretty well imo.

And what about Fangoria?

I think the most of their songs are not the bests for an ESC, but they have some interestings songs that they can do a great job. For examplo songs like Criticar por Criticar or Retorciendo Palabras (or that kind of songs) could be great imo.
Alaska have a great voice, and she never give up the chance to go to ESC. They have not go yet, because nobody (RTVE) doesnt ask they to go XD.
I know that they mayority followers are a gay collectives, but is not a reason for no go XD. And they retro disco-pop is amazing.

Ay no.... por favor - Not Alaska! I cant agree with you that she has a great voice... As a singer she is definitely not a favourite of mine.

Re: SPAIN 2014

Fangoria for ESC???? You mean for ESC 2014??? No way.

I like Roser. She's not like my favourite choice, but I like her and I think she's quite good. The music she does (pop-RnB with latin elements) would work well for us and I'd like to send a real uptempo again and Roser is guarantee of that.

And Roser has nothing to do with Turkey 2007. That song just had some oriental elements, but that's all. But oh well, that song won FSC and another one came second, so that's a proof that European people could really like her if she goes with a good song! :D

Here you can see she has nothing to do with Turkey 2007.

She is "nobody" here. The current system was made to choose artists with a big career behind. Mirela has a big talent, but unfortunately her only career is Eurovision National Finals in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and her short participation in "The Voice", where she got eliminated after the first battle.

Re: SPAIN 2014

We can show Europe that the Spanish also hear music in English

You mean showing that Spain can also be as predictable and soul-selling as the rest? Thank you but no thanx... Spanish ftw!

I saw a video of an interview, where they asked her about it a few months back - she said she wasn't sure on representing Spain, i would say she went as far as to say No. She did however, say in it however she would like to represent the UK. I assume because of how welcomed she felt by the British public and how well she did while on UK X Factor in 2008.

Someone has made a video with (in his/her opinion) the best sspanish singer/group candidates for Eurovision.

One of my favourites is La Oreja de Vang Gogh but a song like La Niña Que Hora En Tus Fiestas XD.

Re: SPAIN 2014

It is always the same singers in those sort of videos, mostly ex-Operación Triunfo contestants xfacepalm
However:
-Fangoria: they were (and still are) pretty succesful but mostly in the Gay community and La Movida nostalgics. Alaska's voice is far from impressive, and I don't think people would understand the whole act.
-LOVG: I like many of their songs, one of our best bands xbow but they'll never do it.
-Roko: one couldn't say she's a great artist as such but she's really talented and has a great voice. I'd support her xup
-Vega: a ex-triunfito, but she would be ok actually.
-Anabel Conde: I love her entry from 1995 but her time is gone.
-Monica Naranjo: probably the best voice in our country atm xbow the poor thing gets asked EVERY YEAR by lots of fans
-The Ladies: xup (only that, if they should sing in English, they've got some work to do on that pronunciation xcrazy)
-Malú: don't like the music genres she sings but nevertheless great singer :D

Thanks for the video! :D

Erm, I study geography  But my paper is on Mediterranean flooding and I picked the south-east of Spain where the ramblas don't like to show up easily on Google Maps xfacepalm
