Hey, I read now that a lot of the journalists who voted that were Spaniards, so take it easy :p

She got a standing ovation in the press room for her rehearsal.

But that's not true!

How would Azerbaijan and Turkey be so high then? Obviously, there is a great number of local press voting :p

"Pastora Soler, Spain's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, has been asked not to win the competition because of the cost of putting the event on next year.
The singer was also sent the tongue-in-cheek message from Spanish broadcaster TVE saying 'Please, don't win!'.
“I think it is not the moment, neither for Spain nor for Spanish public, to win Eurovision,” she said.
“If we won, I think it would be impossible to stage the next edition because it costs so much money.”
In the Eurovision rules, the winner of the event has to foot the bill of hosting the competition the following year.
The Spanish government has already had to slash its funding to broadcasting this year.
Pastora Soler will sing her track 'Quedate Conmigo' (meaning 'Stay With Me') at the competition in Azerbaijan at the weekend."

:(:(

Well, I already told about this on this topic, but it's weird. Pastora is going to sing her song like she can (her best, I hope). If she wins, it's not her fault. TVE has just to "give" the contest to another country next year.

The rehearsal is perfect!!! I'm very impressed by her live performance, she makes the song worth to listen for everybody, no matter tastes.

The whole Spanish thing over the last few days has netted them a lot of attention - hell, even someone in school mentioned about them not wanting to win ;) - and with a good performance I have a feeling we could be going to Madrid next year (depending on their economy)

To be honest it doesn't have to be that expensive to hold the contest. We do have (in Spain) lots of places she could sing, for the first time they could do something outdoors!!

We don't have to build a place from scratch like Azerbaijan did.
