Pastora has talked again about it. Her words were misunderstood.

I think it was all a joke: "oh please don't win now when we don't have money ". How can you ask someone not to win something? Do people really think that Pastora will go to the stage to offer a bad performance and damage her own career? No way, it's pure nonsense.

She also said it's very difficult to win. She wants a top-10 and a top-5 would like a victory. I kinda think the same ;)

BTW after what Pastora has said in different interviews, I think we know her top-5: Albania, Slovenia, Sweden, Serbia and FYR Macedonia. Pastora goes Balkan

Not sure, she marked Albania, Slovenia and Sweden as favourites when they were chosen. And I've just read that Serbia and FYR Macedonia are in her top-5, so... :D

OK maybe Slovenia and Albania are not in her top-5 anymore, but she said she loves them many times before.

Russia??? OMG

Is there such a rule that the winner MUST host the contest? Surely out of necessity it's fine to hand it over to another country, although considering Spain is meant to be in the Big 5 you'd think they'd manage

Well, it's just know nowadays that the winner host it, don't know if they have to.
I can't think that EBU wants a country go bankrupt because of hosting the esc (maybe a bit drastic but ok:lol:)

I think if it's necessary, it's possible that another one does it

My opinion is that we are not talking exactly about having a bankrupt in the country but if Spain wins many people will complain about spending millions of public money which can be used other interests considering the situation of crisis we are going through. It might be a luxury spend we shouldn´t do....and that is why I guess RTVE might have mentioned to Pastora about winning. A question of image more than a question of money.

OMG How much does ESC cost? 6-10 million euros? Which are not paid fully by the host country? That's like 0,0000000000001% of our debt.

Don't know if we are going bankrupt, but believe me, if we are, it won't be due to hosting ESC (mainly because we won't win )

Spain has been so lucky to perform after Greece, Sweden and Turkey. There will be a need for a ballad. Anyway, everything is so unpredictable this year. It's clear which countries will probably be at the bottom but the top 10 is still a mystery for me

I'd have prefered Malta instead of Turkey before, but we were so lucky in the draw. Most of the people who will vote for Turkey will be Turks, so it doesn't affect us so much.
I'd like to have Sweden far away, but you can't have everything ;)
