LENA WAS NUMBER ONE IN SOME COUNTRIES AND SHE WON AND THAT IS A FACT. BUT WHAT IS BEING DISCUSSED HERE IS WETHER BEING A HIT ON THE CHARTS TRANSLATE IN SUCCESS AT ESC. IMO, NOT NECESSARILY. STEPHANO GUALAZI WAS NOT AND HE REACHED 2nd POSITION, SO WHY NOT SPAIN?

I am sorry but if Spain is bottom again this year, I think maybe we should start thinking if it's worth it to keep participating because it's obvious that no matter what we do, we will always be bottom so I don't see the point. Maybe it's time for us to retire, like Italy did. Just saying.

If televoting sucks there's no way juries will scored low Pastora this year!!

Yesterday during the first semifinal Spain was one of the most applauded songs when they made a summary of the big 5 songs. Hope this will work at the final too.

Everything is possible (taking into account last year when Hungary being the one of favourites finished at the bottom) but I think the worst way is to repeat result of Daniel Diges.
Anyway I'll vote for you because I think This song deserves to be 1

Spain won't be in the bottom this year. It's impossible. And I will tell you why. Since 2003 every song we have send to Eurovision has not been really good:

2004: I still don't understand how Para llenarme de ti reached a top 10 placing. Nothing special in the song.
2005: I feel ashamed when I remember that horrible song called Brujería.Thanks to Andorra's votes we didn't get a last place (we really deserved it)
2006: The next one, please. Thank you again, Andorra. And un Bloody Mary por favor.
2007: I love you mi vida was just good in studio version. We performed in the 2nd place, and the show was awful.
2008: Although I loved Baila el chiki chiki I think they did the best they could. And the position was not bad at all.
2009: I think Soraya and La noche es para mí deserved not that bad position, but not much better. Apart from being one of the most desorganized performances I've ever seen, the backvocalists (and dancers) and the trick was totally unnecessary.
2010: I didn't like Algo pequeñito so I think the position was fair.
2011: We all knew that Que me quiten lo bailao would last very close to the last place, even though televoting put us in 16th place.

To consider:

- Televoting has not voted us really bad during all the previous years. Only when we really deserved.
- Juries were established again in 2009, and they have always put us in the last places, and thanks to televoting we've got a better place (Daniel Diges was 11-12 with televoting in 2010 (15th at the end), and Lucía Pérez the 16th, and she was 23rd at the end).
- It's obvious that we will be top 5 from juries this year. They will vote for us because this is a strong ballad, probably the best this year, and remember that juries have always given points to strong balads...).
- We won't be in the bottom for televoting part.

So it will depend on the show and televoting. I can see Pastora in 10-12th place. But I can see her ending up in 3rd/4th place as well, not in the bottom.

I pretty much agree with everything ayzelto said. I have no doubt that Spain will be at least Top 10 as long as Pastora won't f... it up on Saturday :D

This article says that TVE asked Pastora not to win because it would be impossible for them to organize the next contest if they reach the first place on Saturday... The contest is a real worry this year for the spanish TV, as said in the link. It's the first time over the past few years they have really good chances to win it.

Wow, shall we believe Pastora said that? It might be true that TVE mentioned the problems of winning for next year ESC...but it´s hard to believe she open it to the media.

I do think the TVE has the right to say EBU that it's impossible to host it, so number 2 would do,...

She already said this is completely fake and out of context.

As you can read in the link above, she hasn't been told not to win.

This story must be a try of messing up the Spanish entry by somebody who really hates Quédate Conmigo or Pastora
