This was a very good draw for Greece.
In the same semi with Cyprus,Albania,Romania,Belgium,San Marino.
But i have to say that it seems to me that it isnt fair,the 2nd semi is SO difficult.
Ok every year,one of two semis will be easier,but this year in the 2nd semi we have 6 ex-soviet & 5 ex-yugoslavic nations.

there is absolutely no chance for all of those countries to make it to the finals. 2, maybe 3 from each block. maybe even less if the songs turn out to be lame.

for example, we can't give 12 to all ex-yu countries. it is likely that one of them will get, true. but I also think it's unlikely that any of ex-yu's will give all of their highest points to other ex-yu's. u know, 12 to one neighbor, 10 for second neighbor, 8 for third...no way, trust me
the songs will count, no doubt about that.

but some of "those" countries qualified regularly for final in the last few years....(I won't say which ones, we know it). Now, if we look from that point of view, it's time for some other ones to do it.....

I thing that Russia will be the next country to flop.. since in their semi-only have Latvia, Israel, Moldova, Cyprus and Finland his only friends here & they not are very reliable as ever with them

Agree with you, LakZaNokte. No way all those countries will qualify for the final.

It will be like 2004, when 4 ex-yu countries qualified + Turkey! I see a reprise of that (Zeljko is participating now as in 2004 and choose their best singer... it all adds up ).

It would be nice for Macedonia to get Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia and from the last pot Switzerland. Just saying!

the thing is, if we send a crappy song, we will probably get some pity-points from few neighbors...and 0 from others...and byebye finals.

that's the thing with these "blocks". they can help u so that u don't end up on the last-last place on the board (with 0 or 2 pts) but they can't push u to the finals. u have to get points from others as well. so yeah, we all need good songs.

I guess my country has the worst draw it could get... Semi with the most contestants, in the first half and with no Netherlands-supporting countries.
