Russia is unlucky by the draw?
Will get at least 40 points from Israel-Moldova-Latvia-Azerbaijan.

The last year Latvia was gave 0 to Russia (And here lives about 200.000 Russians) and in the JESC 2011, Moldova also was gave a 0 to Russia (80% of the Moldovan population speak Russian), not it strange ..?..

Even if get 65 points from Televoting, the jury surely will try on to sink Russia on purpose to stay in semi-final to give chance to another country.

CIA conspiracy against Russia

As we all know, Russia is the country that profits the least in ESC ;)

It's only the second time since the two semis started that Greece and Cyprus are in the same semi. What's the problem with that? It's all matter of possibilities. If it happens to be in the same semi, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't... With only 12 points you go nowhere. Everything is up to the rest countries voting for you

Of course. But semi-finals places are specially distributed to attenuate block-voting, and statistics on Greece-Cyprus are unequivocal. I can't understand why they were put together. Maybe there'll be a revolution in ESC and Greece won't give 12 to Cyprus, and vice-versa, but honestly I doubt it.

I worry that they're trying a little too hard and it's going to ruin it - Azerbaijan will do just fine if they try not to over-do it!

Moldova actually gave 5 to Russia, so that's not accurate...

Phew, I'm sure glad we ended up in the first semi! If we send something similar in quality as in 2010, we are in good company, though it would be even better if France and Germany could vote for us too (ah well, can't have it all ;)). And with Turkey and Armenia in semi 2, I think Greece can already count on our douze points as well. It is indeed weird that almost all of the Balkan countries were put in the second semi, doesn't bode well for Netherlands, Sweden and Norway. :? According to wikipedia these countries were put into pot 1 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurovision_Song_Contest_2012):

pot 1:
- Albania (semi 1)
- B&H (semi 2)
- Croatia (semi 2)
- FYR Macedonia (semi 2)
- Montenegro (semi 1)
- Serbia (semi 2)
- Switzerland (semi 1)
While Slovenia was in another pot (together with Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, San Marino, Slovakia). With 37 countries being divided into six allocation pots, there was always going to be one pot with a seventh country (and thus 4 countries of the same pot into the same semi). Chances of it happening were slim, but it was always a possible outcome of the allocation draw.

No you are worng atcually :md: was gave a big fat 0 to Russia in JESC 2011, and only 5 points in the last ESC.

Oh, I thought you meant ESC, but now when I read your comment again I noticed the "J"

Couldn't care less about JESC though, so probably that's why I didn't notice it

Hmm knowing what kind of stuff there is national finals of Latvia,Finland,Austria (1st semi),and also knowing that Montenegro will propably have a joke entry,
i think its kind of unffair, becouse 2nd semi has very strong entries.
So some good songs from 2nd semi will not qualify, and some craps from 1st semi will be in final.
Ok this happens every year, but THIS year is more obvious than ever...

I'm sure it would get annoying pretty quickly if I kept linking to my blog (apologies if so), but I did these stats on the Eurovision draw and think you might all find them interesting. Here are the tables, which show points gained or lost compared to "normal" based on the draw.

I am not too sure that Georgia will go through this year. If they pick something weird again, they will likely stay in the semi-final.

That doesn't mean they will receive high points from these. Hopefully, Ukraine and Lithuania won't give them very high points.
