Thats what I think about first semi
First of all huge fail Germany! Many countries lost their connections with commentators, and they had to talk using cellphones....
Stage not bad but not great too
Sometimes poor camera shoots (Poland...)
Bad sound (Poland again....)
Not gonna comment the results, and the fact that Poland didnt qualify

I think that they should redo the first semi in Friday

Awesome performance can save crappy song. Crappy perforamnce can't be saved by anything.

A song will be crappy no matter the performance, but for sure a crappy performance can make a GOOD song look bad though.. but it won't change the specific song anyways.

i am very sad,because i readed very much bad comments about Evelina..I think she will be last in the final my poor Lithuania..We always send boring and sorrowfull songs.. Only juries like and right assess our song.Eurovision audience don't like it at all..
I was shocked when Iceland qualified to the final..Their song is boring and cheesy..Instead of Iceland should qualify Turkey or Norway..

A song will be crappy no matter the performance, but for sure a crappy performance can make a GOOD song look bad though.. but it won't change the specific song anyways.

Which means that a good performance helps crappy song.
We don't rate just songs here. Unless you're blind.

Considering that this is not our semi it's so-so.
ESC finals traditionally are much more popular than the semis.

The final rating will be low in any case. The final coincided with Shakhtar b-day party.
If we don't qualify I'm not gonna watch 40% of the final probably

But Jedward isn`t about todays music scene. This is all about 80ies - Pop with a little bit of punk and a little bit of Wave (in the meaning of the early 80ies Wave) Music.

I didn't mean to offend anyone :/ You don't always send boring songs, your 2010 entry was fun. I just dislike Eurovision ballads. So typical... Agree on Norway, I love that song but Turkey's failure was right. Noone likes the song, it didn't deserve the final.

I'm not deaf either and as long as it's called a song contest I will see it for what it's called.

Also if we are talking the visuals (which I guess you referring to with the "blind" comment) then obviously it's not about singing either but the best SHOW...

And if we're on that subject ironically Armenia probably had the best visual/entertaining show.. but I don't see people praising that one? (yeah yeah the song sucked, but not more than Lithuanian entry though).

OMG. I'm definitely shocked about your comment. Are you serious??? Do you read those comments about Evelina? Who cares about these bad words. I'm sure they don't do anything for Evelina so why they should do anything for you? It doesn't matter about these few people who said bad things. It's because of jealous. There will always be much more people who support Evelina then hate her. So don't panic. I'm sure Evelina won't be last one in the final. I'm sure she will take pretty high possition because her song is very strong and powerfull, she feels it very well. Not all the performes have these features. And don't be so pesimistic! You're Lithuanian. You should support Evelina and do not cry for her fail because final didn't even started and you're already presaging bad things. As I see, these silly comments really affected you. You should stop reading them.

If you hate a song why do you think it deserves to qualify though?

If this was Idol then her voice is the only important, but since it's a song contest don't you think the songs aren't atleast a bit important.

So basically what people are saying is that the songs can be as crappy as possible, only if the singers are good they deserve qualification. Well then next year I hope they re-name it to "Eurovision singing contest" or something more appropriate to what it is nowadays.
