I think this year is the best year that the juries did their job great. They saved good songs from awful ones.

If they saved Lithuania, then no, I wouldn't agree with you. ;)

Yes, we can debate on :lt:, it was not the greatest song, but better than some other crap that could have qualified il the juries weren't there.

I love how people say 'Bosnia will do well', 'Ireland is gunna not even qualify', 'United Kingdom is certain not to win' as if they know!

You should probably stop posting on a discussion board then.

I hope the juries do their job and crap all over Ireland and make sure ESC maintains some form of reputation.

About the bad sound quality that some have mentioned.
Yesterday i heard from the news that Sven Lõhmus was allowed to enter the sound control van and fine-tune our song's sound settings. It was quite odd because mostly entering these sound vans is prohibited (unless you are from staff). So it seems quite possible that some songs might have bad sound because they haven't managed to tune their song correctly.

For me Lithuania had the WORST song of all entries this year.

If the juries saved that crap then there's no hope for Eurovision really. Not even a b- Disney follow up would want that on their soundtrack...

Now back to coarsing during the live ESC broadcast:

Ukrainian commentator while having technical problems: "You f-ed me, f-ck! Both, f-ck! :( "
 He will continue commenting ESC.

Alex Sparrow while being announced as a qualifier: "This is Russia! F-ck! This is Russia! F-ck!" (In this context it can mean "wh-re" or maybe just ordinary "f-ck, dammed!" like in our case)

I already love this Eurovision xrofl3

Sincerely I don't understand this point of view. Ok, C'est ma vie isn't a fantastic song. But Evelina, with her magical voice, made a miracle, transforming a commune song into a breakthrough. Ok, it's Eurovision Song Contest, but thats why juries are there. To make a difference into a crap song, with only cute lyrics and weird show, with a song with a real message, lovely interpretation. Think about Molitva by Serifovic in 2007, it was the same.

Definitely. It was even worse than Portugal. I call Lithuania "toilet break".

We have Idol where songs doesn't matter just voices. If the juries can't see the difference between "song contest" and "singing contest" then there's a problem.

Just as a crappy performance shouldn't qualify, so shouldn't crappy song either imo.

i am very sad, because i readed very much bad comments about Evelina..I think she will be last in the final :( my poor Lithuania.xcry.We always send boring and sorrowfull songs.. Only juries like and right assess our song.Eurovision audience don't like it at all..
I was shocked when Iceland qualified to the final..Their song is boring and cheesy..Instead of Iceland should qualify Turkey or Norway..

I know I'm one of the most critical about your qualification this year, but don't take it personal though. It is no critique to your country or Evelina as a person.

I think sometimes you were actually overlooked by both the public and juries.

I agree about Iceland, the song just sucks.

Awesome performance can save crappy song. Crappy perforamnce can't be saved by anything.

ps. Teaching juries how to choose is the problem :)
