Ireland will NOT be in the top 5. It will be nowhere near. I promise you that. The only countries I can see going for this are the UK and France. That's it.

I don't see ANY difference between all four of them. I think Blue have the best voices out of them, and the better musical composition out of all three. A more meaningful message as well, so their my favorite out of those four and the only ones deserving of the top 10. The Irish sound awful, quite frankly, and not even twins can harmonize their movements nor their voices. Getter has a solid pop song but her voice is weak, and Eric's performance is too gimmicky. Like I said, Blue is above and beyond the other three but still not worthy of being a winner, in my opinion.

i love the irish entry!! and the guys are so funny. if they dont make it to the final i will cry haha but im pretty confident that they will not only enter the final but even finish top 5

Lol, I've never been more off in predicting the qualifiers than last night!

Totally psyched that Switzerland made it to the final though! xwoo

I'm also happy to see Hungary, Russia, Finland and even Greece make it through. On the other hand, I dread having to sit through the songs from Lithuania (great singer sure, but the song is ), Georgia and Iceland again. Will miss Turkey, Albania, Armenia and Poland in the final.

I really didn't expect this many surprises in semi 1. Makes me wonder what will happen in semi 2! Oh, and with Armenia and Turkey out, and a Greek entry that won't set our televote on fire, who on earth will Belgium give their 12 points to?

As for the German hosting skills, I think they're doing very well! the stage is the best I've seen yet and the broadcasts I watched (switched between BBC and Belgian tv) had no mayor technical problems. I do prefer the Norwegian hosts from last year and hope they'll have more interesting interval acts than the boring one from yesterday.

I think this year is the best year that the juries did their job great. They saved good songs from awful ones.

I love how people say 'Bosnia will do well', 'Ireland is gunna not even qualify', 'United Kingdom is certain not to win' as if they know!

It really annoys me because it's as if people reckon they know what's going to happen - well the answer is nobody knows what the results are going to be. Present opinions as opinions, not facts .

Since this year most songs are average, as different from former years, we can't be sure for nothing. Winner, top 5, finalists etc.
