I'm glad that Turkey and Armenia with their cheap songs didn't qualify:mrgreen:. At the same time to my deep regret Croatia didn't qualify. It would be great to change Georgia:mad: to Croatia.

Interesting, I found the Croatian entry just as cheap as the Armenian one.

I agree about Georgia though, but I would have exchanged it with Poland and not Croatia.

I was refering to Armenia's show... are you really blind? Wow. O__0

No you didn't get it but never mind. No I'm not blind. I disliked the song but it was one of few entertaining shows. Most of the shows were really boring.

And on the subject of Lithuania's kitsch ballad; she's not even that much of a singer... I forced myself to see it again to see what "brilliance" I missed.. but it was just as boring as yesterday. But I guess taste differs.

For me with Albania because the Polish singer missed the first notes and I loved Albanian entry (all but not the overall look of Aurela )

Aurelia sang great live, but the song is an awful mess imo.

I can't believe that's the same singer behind this super cool song:

With an entry like that, Albania could have even won.

No. When you say that I "only refer to live voices" it's you who don't get it. Totally.

And on the subject. Weird that you called her kitschy because ALL ESC songs are kitschy in 2011... and #1 among the kitschiest crap is Sweden. And Portugal. Not even gonna force myself to watch their entries :?
Yep, tastes differ so please don't order people to go and judge Idol shows if they have different taste than yours.

Well, I voted for 3 songs yesterday ( :hr: :mt: :ge: ), and Georgia qualified, so I guess I should be happy about that. I didn't really expect the other 2 to go to the final, but still think they deserved my vote.

Wasn't very surprised about the results tho, I guessed 7 of the finalists. Didn't expect Greece, Hungary and Russia to go thru, I had more faith in San Marino, Turkey and Norway...

And again here comes the "order" comment.

I didn't order people, that's my subjective opinion that if juries only vote for voices they'll be better of as juries in Idol shows rather than a song contest. It's not an "order", just an opinion. It wasn't directed to people in here though, just the juries.

^ It's not your subjective opinion it's an advice to go somewhere else.
Considering that I think like juries usually then why not to me?
What if I was in the juries? Will I be discriminated because I have a different taste? ;)

No, then clearly you didn't read what I wrote.

I said that if the juries only care for voices, and not songs, then I believe they're better off judging something like Idol instead. That's just my opinion, not a big deal.

Everyone seems to disagree with me anyways on this matter.

hah .... it's strange that all my favorites actually qualified! Even those that were not predicted to qualify (Lithuania, Switzerland). I thought Norway will qualify, but I really never liked that song.

I hope I can count on my taste and don't need to predict what other people may think... like last year, germany was my favorite but I never thought it would win. This year I'm smarter :p

It's a shame Poland didn't qualify...loved the song and performance but maybe it would've done better if it was in English? Very happy for Switzerland though!!!

I'm sorry for all the countries that didn't make it, but that's (Eurovision) life! Some make it, some not but what would the ESC be without surprises - positive and negative -failures, technical problems? There has always been some trouble in the past years, some major, some minor, but that's the way it (maybe) goes.

I really loved the Turkish song (it was one of my favourites), but we've had too much of that kind of rock songs from Turkey the last years, so that was maybe a reason people got tired of it. I also think it was a rather weak performace; it didn't have the power I recognized in the original video.

I find it kinda sad that Norway didn't make it, because... well, just because Norway HAS to be part of the final, I can't imagine the ESC without them (just like Sweden last year) but to be honest, I never liked that song. It was just too kiddy and playful, a summer song in May, it doesn't work if there isn't a worldchampionchips in soccer that year, it didn't work for me at least.

Armenia's performance was plain bad, sorry, I didn't like the "fighting" pictures and her weak voice, so I think it's no surprise they didn't make it although it was a catchy song.

I'm happy that Georgia will end up in the final, I love this song! :-)

Hmm, that would explain why none of these countries qualified.

I wonder what might happen if this should actually be true - New semifinal?
