None of the first 5 countries could qualify. I don't think it's a coincidence. You watched the videos of Poland (BBC & TVP), saw the difference.

Not a new sf (I'd love that though, more Eurovision yay!) but Germany should apoligize for all the problems.

We already did.

http://www.eurovision.de/news/international/technikhalbfinale101.html

"We apologize to all the viewers".

The article also mentions that they did a huge stresstest to be sure that this won't happen again tonight.

Also, Jon Ola Sand assured that those technical problems did not have any influence on the voting. For now we only know about technical problems in some countries during the COMMENTS. Anything else ist NOT proved yet.

I was angry too, but, after all, who needs commentators? :D No, just kidding.

Huge conspiracy Germany! Voting closed for 1st 5 countries after 30 minutes? Its not confirmed but it actually can be true

I couldn't hear the 5 first songs. Only a very loud noice of music and no voices. Tha same with family and friends. How can we vote for songs we don't hear???:confused::confused:

But how can we vote for songs we don't hear? We had just a screaming noice of music without any voices.

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure they will research into that problem soon.

By the way, the number of calls from one country is limited to 20 votes.

"Per nose" of course, otherwise it would be a lame ESC I think! :D

I think this has always been like that the last years to avoid cheating.

Maybe this COULD be a reason why voting was closed after 30 minutes [if this rumour will turn out to be true, which I'm not sure about it yet].

No the problem is that we could not vote for songs we did not hear. How can it be too many votes, than..

(of course we nerds could vote from what we have seen, but not the majority.)

Um, I read an article in which - I guess it was Jon Ola Sand - assured that Norway would not have made it into he final even IF Spain gave them 12 points. Assumed that it is true, Spain did not hear them. Which is not proved yet. I will see if i find that article.

[edit] Okay, I found another article in which they assured that there were problem on Spain TV but it was the failure of the SPANISH broadcasting station NOT Germany's fault.

Maybe it's true even if i don't know. Jon Ola Sand have to understand that we can't vote for songs we don't hear. We in Norway had only screaming noices untill song nb. 6 started.

I understand your point. It is quite unfair indeed. I don't know what happend, maybe we'll get an explanation soon.

I hope they will do better tonight but according to different articles they will. Double backups, stresstest and so on. I think they are well-prepared today.

That is because your broadcaster of Eurovision. Not the Germans. Same case in Spain. There was their fault. Ok, it's unpleasant, it's not fair play, but we cannot do anything about it now.

Blame Spain, Blame Norway, Blame whoever you want too. Germany is doing everything perfect !!!

With my family in Sweden it was exactly the same.

Good luck to the finalists!!!

As we have all seen Germany is far away from being perfect. You know that, I know that. Everbody knows. But mistakes are made to learn from so I'm sure (I hope so) tonight will be better. If not, maybe we can continue the rest of the ESC in one of our neighbour countries. :D I will emigrate then, anyway.

Yesterday my friend asked on press conference who is responsible for all these problems. His question were answered but these answers were like "go to hell, we don't care".

He asked who is responsible for: bad sound, camera being late on Polish performance, no confirmations for Polish text votes, information that lines are closed being sent to Polish votes in Norway, and deleting messages on eurovision.tv concerning technical problems. It was: sound - NDR, cameras - NDR, text messages - national televisions, deleting messages - this was unanswered. He also stated that "He is impressed that they are impressed with organisation". I compared sound of Magda and Stella on some TVs - it was ok in Lithuanian TV, but in BBC...awful. Polish TVP also had problems with sound. They answered that they only know about problems in Spanish TV, all the others have to go to them and tell them... so since there is no information, information is not reliable.

I am really dissapointed by such answers - saying "we apologize" is not enough here. Saying "Yes, we made mistakes and we would like to apologize" - would be better.
