Yeah, probably an untrue rumor. Anyways, Anna is a weak live-vocalist so the vocals obsessed juries in ESC would not be happy, I doubt she'd risk her career over an potential ESC failure.

Unless someone in Russia can say otherwise I guess this is conformation for this participation. It says they have the lyrics written but no music composed yet. Don't worry A-Lister I can't see them going to Sweden for it.

and the soloist they said who will be singing Boris Dyakov who is a baritone:
I'm excited to see what they do I thought they were a highlight during the 2009 intermission.

Well I did do a double take when they said they only have the lyrics and haven't gotten a composer yet
Of course it will have to sound modern but one would hope they don't ditch the balalaikas or folk sound completely. I mean that's what their famous and well known for right?

Well, if they enter I think it'll be something like the grandmas of 2012, a mix of their traditional and trademark sound with some modern dancy beats.

Does anyone know where it is going on ?
It was announced a selection with a shortlist of acts in autumn and rounds before the grand final on the 31st of December... And it's not that far, and we still have no news about that...

He is more of a celebrity rather than an actual popular singer I'd say...
Lazarev is hot though and ESC need some eye-candy, however his main issue is that his material aren't that good usually.

In this year Russia 1 have rights on this contest for Russia. And it's veeery terrible( We have very much great singers but...they participation on the Channel One! Our channels will never agree... and instead of some kind of a masterpiece, as Dina Garipova, again there will be something terrible.
It's a pity...having so many great performers, such for example

Are we having NF this year in Russia? It's a turn for NF, right? 2010-NF, 2011-internal choice, 2012-NF, 2013 internal. It is because of diffrent channels am I correct? I'm not sure if I have it right with Russian selections.
Anyway I watched 2012 NF and there were few interesting ( in different ways ) entries. I remember of course Dima&Julia (I even liked them, but they weren't my fave), Aida (God, what a voice) and Timati and two sisters screaming in French "Marionette" ( that was a blast ).
