Gypsies are not from Romania. Romania was just gracious enough to open their borders to gypsies when most others wouldnt.

Wrong! All others from East open their borders to them, but taked them like slaves. After the abolition of slavery Romania killed less Gypsies than others did and also Romania has a larger territory than the others countries from region so is normally to have a major number of them. Gypsies from Romania are human beings borned in Romania so they are Romanians whatever we agree with it or not. Saying that Gypsies are not from Romania is wrong since some of them ar borned here. They are perhaps the tenth generation born here. What must be said is that not all the Gypsies are from here and that Romanians has less Gypsies blood on their hands than others have. That's a reality that can not be liked by many of you, Romanians or other nations especially from East or South East.

Mandinga deserved so much better, it was the awful juries that underrated it... imo it's the best Romanian entry to date and the entry most representative of the current Romanian music and the style that brought them international fame.

I can still hear that song here in Serbia on radio sometimes!

Yeah, but that "Romanian house" genre usually has problem when singers perform live, and official videos are much better and effective than live performances..so I'd rather choose Electric fance, or Liviu Guta, his entry from 2013 Romanian NF in Italian language "La donna di nero" was AWESOME for my taste.. he's menele singer btw, you probably know..

Can't agree there. I'd put it bottom 3 of all time for Romanian entries. Whether It's representative or not, I just want to hear something I like, and that was offensive to my ears. Oh well. 2010 was probably their best entry, although I haven't heard a Romanian entry I really love. Kind of like Lithuania, except not as bad.
