I'm sorry but do you really think that when people go to vote they think "Oh Romania has a good song , let me vote for them. Oh wait, I forgot, 10 years ago they gave us X points, and if they had given us 12 we would win! **** them!"
That is idiotic.

What happened is that in 2002, and had 100 % jury and no televoting. They talked before the Contest and they promissed that if gives 12 to , will give 10 to , as already had promissed a 12-12 exchange, so that is exactly what happened. In 2003 continued to have a 100 % jury, while moved to 100 % televoting. The juries from didn't know that and they gave us 12 expecting that they will receive it back, but the Romanian televoters didn't really care about it and they voted for the songs they liked so that's the reason didn't win

Now, I do think that 2013 was a joke entry, but I mean for instance in 2012 were totally screwed over by the juries while having a catchy contemporary summery dance song that SHOULD in the "real world" outside of the juries' bubble deserve a much better outcome.

I am not upset with the juries but with the new system. The juries helped us in 2010 and 2011 and screwed us in 2009 and 2012 (that was mainly because Elena forgot a verse durring the last rehearsal).

I wish all the countries considered in Eastern Europe + and would withdraw until the 100 % televoting rule will be back, or at least until the old jury televoting - system will be back

I'd rather the televote wouldn't be 100% again (even if one of the 5 songs I liked in Eurovision this year [Switzerland] would have passed on to the final with 100% televoting, at the same time another song I liked a lot [San Marino] would have passed on to the final if it was 100% jury). But I'm by no means a fan of the juries either >.>, they ju,st simply seem too easily corruptible, not to mention that they could try to veer the contest to certain countries on purpose (or, at least, in these economically dark times).

I agree that the new system makes things less balanced though and would actually be for us withdrawing until the old system is brought back.

@A-lister: The juries have given us better scores in some years and worse in some others (I didn't like the 2012 song so...), but I would fully agree with :ro withdrawing as a reaction to the new system. It's just simply too unbalanced and the lack of transparency is beyond annoying (not to mention that the EBU's claim as to why they can't release the split jury and televoting results during the show is rather laughable at best [no one is asking that they show the exact number of votes, just the overall score, and they could just lower the amount of televotes needed for them to be valid when it comes to countries with low viewership or countries with small populations >.>, or just get rid of the whole "you need X number of televotes for this to be taken into account" altogether]).

Why? Just because the opinion of 195 people is equal with the opinion of milions of televoters? And at "Playing with fire" the jury placed us 3rd, while the televoters placed us 6th, so that wasn't good either....

Romania nearly always sends out songs that please the public and if Cezar got the attention of the public, i wouldn't call it shitty. Juries can fk off, public seemed to love it.

I didn't like Lordi too But it's better if you find another example for this comparison because "Hard rock hallelujah" has been 1st in Finland, 2nd in Austria and Belgium, 4th in Ireland, 5th in Germany and Switzerland, 6th in Greece, 8th in Sweden, 9th in Norway. And 25th in UK. So......... :?

I don't use iTunes myself but, from what I remember reading once, Cezar's song isn't available on it (while those of the other participants are) and you can only get it by buying one whole album, so that might be why he's not on iTunes >.>...

But I can give you some songs that did really well in Eurovision and very bad in charts, like 2007 or 2012. IMO, the juries where brought to avoid geo-pokitical voting and Diaspora, but instead they kill original and beautiful entries like 2013, 2013, 2011, 2012 etc.. Eurovision is not about Eurofans and it's about entire Europe, so if the Europeans that listen to the songs only in thew night of the contesat want some singing grannies to win then let them have it

Besides, Russia did not win the televote. And Romania 2013 is not a beautiful original entry. Montenegro is though
