I know but I really can't see them withdrawing for any other reason. Their results are good and I think the contest is popular there!

Social networking sites have seen rumours escalate today about Romania’s potential withdrawal. After an original post on their Head of Delegation’s Facebook suggesting they were to withdraw, Mr.Manoliu appears to have changed it to ‘nothing’s certain yet’.
He has now told Romanian fans that TVR have not yet made a final decision. Did he let the cat out of the bag too early, or is there still a chance Romania will participate in Copenhagen? Let’s hope so.

wow, i really didn't think we would worry about Romanian withdrawal? I wouldn't expect them to withdraw, especially with all that success they have in it. I would be surprised if they did.

I don't think they withdrew, back then there was a relegation system in place and Romania didn't make the cut.

I'm not sure if I'd call them successful, sure they qualified each year due to diaspora but that's about it... but then again I can't say I've been a fan of most Romanian entries and my favorite to date (2012) flopped undeservingly due to the lame juries.

Well coming from a British perspective and how well the UK have done over the past decade I would call them successful
however when i look at their record, they've only made the top 10 4 times out of 15 times participating, then its debatable. How about Moderate success? is that more acceptable

I always thought Romania has been one of the luckiest country in recent Eurovision history. How they managed to qualify in 2009, 2011 and 2013 is still a mystery to me. The good news is based on that pattern 2014 will be great

Well lately it's becoming a habit for Romania to be one of the last countries to confirm participations so I wouldn't worry yet... but with some shocking withdrawals, I wouldn't be so shocked to see them sit out. Hopefully not!
