Even if he placed in the last place of the semifinal, I am sure that Conan will forever remembered in the portuguese fandom as the guy that changed the perception of Portugal in the competition... I am proud!

Rumour has it Portugal's staging is being worked on by an expert. And some are saying it's a Swedish team 
It also seems that Conan will sing the song in a "fado way" (I'm guessing similar to the music video) and Nike has offered him 3 pairs of trainers to use on Eurovision

I'm familiar with fado, but not on in a very - "aficionado" - way. Does this mean, it's going to be slower? less of the "oriental"-style instrumentation? Because I thought (forgive me if I make a fool out of myself here) that his way of singing was quite fado-esque.

No, the instrumental is not changing. I think what they mean with this is that he is going to be more faithful to the sudio version? I agree that it was sung in a pretty fado way already

Things are changing. Carla Bugalho is in the Reference Group now and the Portuguese team are very friendly with everyone in the Reference Group and with the "Swedish in-crowd" after 2018. I wouldn't say it's impossible.

No, all those times that Portugal withdrew when the contest was held in Sweden was pure coincidence
shook. some friends and i noticed these coincidences + one of them once said some portuguese people were badmouthing sweden in a group and we thought there was any kind of rivalry

This reminds me really on Joci Papai 2017 song. It is really specific, leaves your mouth open. I think they will make similar result, top 10 probably. At my first listening in February, i tought it is fado ballad, and then the strange instrumental started... Less risky than Hatari definetely
