The bet on Portugal to win Eurovision is currently the most popular bet made on Oddschecker (Out of every possible bet - football, politics, horse races, etc). I never thought I would see something like this happen

Also, RTP's director confirmed that Festival da Canção 2018 will take place (and by extension, Portugal's 2018 participation). He also said that the format of the NF will probably be the same, but they will still study the format after ESC 2017, and might make changes.

Loving this more with each listen. Respect to Portugal for doing things their own way and coming up with a beautiful piece of music. I don't want it to win though, because I like RainyWoods too much for him to die so young.

I know right? As a portuguese, i also don't know what's going on. The amount of 12 points on this topic is almost surreal! Even those hysterical fanatics of pop can't deny this piece of art. All aboard to Salvador's train!

This entry wouldn't normally be me cup of tea, but it's definitely a solid entry. It will stand out and we will see Portugal again in the final and, most probably, in the top-10. I just can't stand the way he interprets the song, it's not believable for me. 6 points.

This is for sure the biggest surprise as far as popularity is concerned. I guess it just shows that when done right, anything is possible. I still don't think it's going to be popular at ESC with the televoters, I just don't see it happening. But I do hope for some jury love. This just has to qualify.

I just love Portugal as a country - amazing people, amazing cities, amazing atmosphere - and I really hope that Portugal will finally get the result they deserve. They have been criminally underrated and this song, however definitely not my favourite, deserves to qualify and get a good result in the final.

Personally I'm not too fond of the stage presentation in FdC but the song is beautiful.
