Stig Karlsen said in an livestream with escNorge yesterday that for now, the semi finals will only be back for next year, but if it goes well they might have them in the future (but not as many as five, that's how I interpreted what he said)

I'm afraid it won't reach the final due to a very strong and competitive semi final and the song itself sending me some Waldo's People vibes but oh well, I am somehow addicted to this track. It's super catchy and I love the 90s disco sound mixed with some ethno elements. The Sami language really lifts the song to another level.

I think that the juries will lap up this song if performed properly. This is a technical masterpiece, but it's very easy to present this song in a messy way. The song packs so many notes in one bar, it's very complex. The three singers also serve as the backing vocalists for each other which is very commendable. The joiker needs better control of his breathing. In the national final, there were parts where it was apparent that he was catching his breath and as a result was off-tune for a moment.

I like the studio version (it's not in my top 10 though) but live it's a turnoff for me. Too messy, too much screaming, too much off-tune etc.

Alright I don't like the video clip. I mean it starts nicely but then you see Tom Hugo dressed like a fox and Alexandra Rotan dressed like a fairy - unicorn and you just want to punch yourself in the face. The Sami rapper has by far the best outfit. Anyway the video clip doesn't erase the fact that the song is amazing but if they want to succeed in Tel Aviv they need to spend money on the staging not video clips.

I have to agree that the videoclip is quite bad, but in a guilty pleasure kinda bad.
The visuals aren't that far away from the meaning of the song, it speaks about the sami people that had animal familiars and that were persecuted by the christians because of their beliefs, they explain everything in their instagram (here), including the their fursonas.
The trick "come because it's fun, stay because it's meaningful" isn't uncommon in eurovision and it does work, like it did with Netta last year, it was a fun song with chicken noises - but wait! - it really is about female empowerment!
