Hope that you're right - it's annoying my OCD that Norway still doesn't feature on the YouTube channel though. I've made my own playlist, but the KEiiNO performance is uploaded by someone random and will probably disappear at some point. Don't even think NRK have uploaded the live performance videos from MGP to YouTube, unless I'm missing them somehow xthink

There you go. The 'live' performance on ESC official channel.

I just watched this entry on youtube.

I'm calling the police.

Seriously though. Saara Alto (Monsters) ft Mans Zermalow (Heroes) ft the bald guy from Aqua who sings Ken's part's doing ethnic chanting.

In this crazy and varied, but ultimately unexpectedly quite weak year, it seems this is turning out to be my #1 favorite now. Am i wrong, is there some other entry i should consider?

I'm a sucker for ethnic elements but I still can't get used to the joik part in this song. It sounds irritating and out of place to me. The song would be much higher on my list if they replaced that part with sth else.

Apart from the already mentioned similarities to Aqua and Hero, the song also reminds me of Rednex "Spirit of the hawk". The ethno part is much better there. I know, it's (joik) traditional Norwegian singing and I respect that but it's hard to grasp in a dance live show.

Oh God forgot about Spirit of the Hawk, what an absolute anthem, let me add it on Spotify rn!! That comparison makes this look even worse than it is, currently #39 in my ranking.

my biggest fader this week. It's still high in my ranking, but I enjoy it much less than when it won the national final.

Sorry... not my taste... Really awful mix of 90's eurodance, pop, schlager and joik. :( 1 point.

I think you're right, because it's also faded a bit for me as well - and the reason might be that I've listened to it a lot on Spotify recently so I'll take a break now and come back.

That being said, I remain highly patriotic and still want us to do well this year

I also worry that this is starting to lose its shine a little, but I think it's purely because I've been spam streaming it since early February and I think I need a little break. Still adore that beat drop in the first chorus and Fred is my (slightly surprising) crush of the year - seriously the guy is just adorable!! xlove

For some reasons, Fred reminds me about Kermit the Frog...

This is a gem, probably the juries will downvote it for all the wrong reasons, but it doesn't mean that it's not catchy, cute and brings alot of nostalgia and feel-good to the contest. It's very Eurovision-esque, but in a good way and but it works, and afterall it's Eurovision right? Is it particularly original? Not really, but it still has its charm with the catchy melody, the mix of folk and I really wish this will do better than expected. I think it will stand out and unlike many other entries it's very direct and doesn't take many listens to catch your attention, so if the staging is good, it should be this year's "Moldova 2018" or better...

The frontrunner of the early 00s revival pack we have at Eurovision this year. I can understand why people love this and I like the verses, but the chorus is just too much for me and there's too much going on in this song. The unfitting joik, that techno beat, all the cliche. I want to like it so bad, because it should be fun, but something just doesn't click. There is also just something irritating about overly commercialised "ethnic" songs that people flock to just because there are some vague traditional cultural elements to it. I don't know. It should do well with the public though, I also disliked Denmark last year, but it was obvious to me it'd do well and I have a similar feeling with this, it is definitely a crowd-pleaser.

Tumblr, mostly.

This is only the second time I've seen someone compare Fred to Kermit and I'm shocked it doesn't happen more often tbh. The resemblance is striking

This song hasn't faded for me though. Still listen to it several times a day, often in batches of 10-20 listenings as I work on my bachelor thesis (or dismantle moon logic here or elsewhere on the internet). I HEAR YOU CALLING ME AT NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT
