Moldova MOLDOVA 2019 - Anna Odobescu - Stay

they dont even hide that they have stolen Ukraine 2011s sand artist.
The song itself isn't bad at all, and the staging is interesting, but the hand irritates me somehow. To me also a NQ even though she really has a great voice.

I CANNOT believe they're trying to pass off the sand artistry as being live.

The song literally pisses me off for being direfully unoriginal and predictable, and the staging is a recycle of
2011 sand artist???
How lower can you get than that? I clicked to see perhaps I can tolerate the song after seeing the live performance, only to see that I could hate it even more.

Undeserved top 10 incoming! Or maybe not really, but let me explain.
I used to really like Moldova's more quirky and wacky entries which I found underrated. However, bland entries like this one are at the bottom of the top list of mine. Also, using Ksenia for something so mediocre like this is just wasted potential, even back then with Mika Newton's song.
Imagine if Zlata Ognevich's The Kukushka won the Ukrainian NF and Ksenia's sand art-performance was used for Zlata's staging? Azerbaijan winning with its wallet would not be enough anymore.

Mika Newton had a terrible song that saved by the amazing staging. Also don't forget that regular viewers do not remember and probably do care what happened in 2011 so they may vote for Moldova. Juries can kill her chances of course. She is not bottom 3 in the semifinal.

Stay is a terrible song that has mediocre staging compared to Angel. Regular viewers probably won't even watch the semifinal.
You are probably right but still she is not completely chanceless.

Ok guys, don't kill me, I think from what I have seen that this staging could actually work.
1. I understand most of you are probably familiar with Ukraine 2011, but I am not and don't think the bigger part of audience is / will remember it. Compared to the three super dark partly one-man/woman-shows of Sweden, Austria and Armenia, there was something surprisingly refreshing about this.
2. We all know Anna has great vocals but the song is mainly just a generic cheesy meaningless pile of nothing -> because we have already had spent some time with it. Combined with the fact that they apparently copy an 8 years old idea, I get that most of you are unconvinced / even disgusted.
But on a first time listen & watch for people who don't know about that Ukraine inspiration, I think this could actually be quite memorable. Eventually the juries should and will kill it, but I think a top 10 televote is not impossible in the SF.

She said she won't use any special effects... Now she's bringing dated sand art to the flop entry. "Stay" will definitely stay in semis.
