Babe, are you hiding? Are you alright?
You look like an angel, that fell from the sky
And boy you keep talkin', massaging my ego
With your unoriginal pickup line

Hell no, I'm not your honey
Hell no, I don't want your money
Got it wrong, I ain't into dummies
No-o-o-o

So baby, it's not a maybe
Yeah, I'm too good to be true, but there's nothing in it for you
So if I show some skin, it doesn't mean I'm giving in
Not your baby

Je me casse, je me casse
If you don't get it (Je me casse)
Je me casse, je me casse
I'm not your baby

Boy, are you pouring that drink in my hand?
Thinking if I'm drunk then, I'll give you a chance
Boy, you keep buying and complaining so stop trying
Not gonna give it up and change my plans

Hell no, I'm not your honey
Hell no, I don't want your money
Got it wrong, I ain't into dummies
No-o-o-o

So baby, it's not a maybe
Yeah, I'm too good to be true, but there's nothing in it for you
So if I show some skin, it doesn't mean I'm giving in
Not your baby

Je me casse, je me casse
If you don't get it (Je me casse)
Je me casse (Je-je-je me casse)
If you don't...

Ladies, if you feel like flaunting tonight, it’s alright, it's alright
Ladies (Ladies), listen to me!
Listen and go right ahead, show you're shining

If you don't get it, if you, if you dont' get it (Je me casse)
If you don't get it, if you, if you don't get it
Excuse my French

Baby, it's not a maybe
Yeah, I'm too good to be true, but there's nothing in it for you
So if I show some skin, it doesn't mean I'm giving in
Not your baby

Je me casse
Je-je-je me casse
I'm not your baby

I feel so gutted for Destiny! I bet there was loads and loads of pressure on her and she forgot the actually have fun.
I did not expect her to bomb this hard with the televoting, the running order didn't help her either but gosh that was harsh.

Destiny you did great! Malta should be proud. I wonder how All Of My Love would have done. Anyway, nothing to be ashamed of!

I feel so sorry for her. I found her performance better in the semi, but she deserved a better place. Still, this was a VERY competitive year. I think in another year she would have had the trophy with ease. I hope she will come back in the near future (not necessarily next year, I think strategically she should give it a little time)

Bigget shock of the night, 40 something points? I was sure she would get at least 100

She looked so disappointed as well and I think it was a mistake to not thank the fans after getting her points, there were still thousands and thousands of people who voted for her and supported her.

She just killed all the fun for herself because she was too keen on being competitive.

Not winning is way more likely than winning, but she never saw it coming. Instead she took the staging criticism personally and made it a situation about her body rather than stage presence. And for what cost exactly? She didn't even stand on her foot and changed the outfit regardless by claiming "oh well, I feel comfortable in it too."

She is too young and greedy. She will get better as she matures, I hope.

Malta's flop in the televoters was a surprise for me.
But the running order did not help. Nor did the staging and the choice of colours. But I guess the song itself was the main problem. I remember when I first heard it I didnt think it was something special. It took some listenings for me to warm up to it. In the real competition there is not such thing as warming up to a song.
I spent yesterday with 4 others, 3 out of them had never heard any of the songs. All agreed that Destiny was impressive! But that the song was not... and she did not receive a single vote from our little party..

Well, a seventh place in itself isn't a bad result, and if the Maltese delegation didn't do all the promo and whatever they've done all this season long, then maybe Destiny wouldn't feel too disappointed as this was never the favorite of the year, though the odds made them out to be. Could they've won? Yeah, maybe, top 3 could've been possible, but the staging didn't do it any favors -- good and competent, but it didn't elevate the song as much as they'd like.

And hot take and tea of the day - Destiny was not at her best and we've yet to see the best of Destiny in Eurovision. Her strength is supposed to be her vocals, but she was not at her vocally best -- neither in the semi nor in the final, and yesterday, she tried way too hard and it really showed -- just as I feared would happen.

Then there were a lot of uptempo female bops this year, and everyone wore the silver outfit lol

My friend who watched the show with me told me that she liked the song but the staging/energy were underwhelming. And at the end on the recap it felt flat because of all the others strong and energetic entries.

I guess Maltese delegation will keep saying that it's because of running order (and I agree that maybe if Malta was a "most important" country they wouldn't have been put on six place but do you honestly think that they would have got so much more televote on 10th or 12th place? I highly doubt. The 250+ votes for France and Italy are coming from somewhere and all the pop songs of its style didn't get very good televote (I believe Moldova did the best?), even San Marino closing the show...

And the 12 points from the Swedish jury, I saw it coming miles away and my friend was like "how did you know?!?!" 🤓

Do we already have a Statement of Destinys Manager?

Btw. AOML was Worlds better and would have scored more Televotes.

I wonder what kind of song Malta needs to send to do well with the public these days

Destiny gave it all, but still only the juries seemed to love it.

Overall Malta should be proud they got a 7th place in a strong year like this!

I really hope Destiny will be back in a few years with another banger xheat

I'm the last one who puts the racism card on the table but in fact all Malta, San Marino, Netherlands and Israel bombed in the televote this year. Now take also the jury winners/runners up of 2018 and 2019 in consideration and you have a pattern.

Malta was just a bit boring + it didn’t help that commentators said “she is coming with the same message as Netta”. Been there, done that.

Israel obviously has other reasons why it may not have been doing well with the televoters.

San Marino flew in an American rapper and I’m happy that people did not reward that. But obviously, this was the most shocking to me in terms of how bad they did with the televoters

The Netherlands were unlucky to be the host and in all honesty, the song was just too different. That is okay if it is a really good song, but it just wasn’t.

I am a cruel person I guess, but my reaction was 'Good riddance' after seeing it ultimately flopping related to very high expectations and Maltese very pushy advertising.

For me it always looked overrated by the odds and overhyped in general. But 7th overall is still a great result for a small country like Malta. I thought she would finish 5th before the rehearsals, I was not far off.

With a different running order she would though do better with the televote, likely crossing 100 points mark, being juxtaposed with a very charismatic Russia did not do it favours either as well as that generic Melfest staging from SJB.

Malta was buried alive in the running order. Reminded me of Cesar Sampson. She lost more than 100 points between semi and GF, while Sweden for example was favored by the juries in the semi but by t/v in the GF.

Running order matters a lot and we need a more televoting system, e.g. app voting with "applause" score

Well, I did kinda predict Malta would do a Malta... A super great jury score and then a mediocre/bad televote score. Slightly better on the televote than usual for them, but i'm not totally surprised by it tbh.
You have to take into consideration that they did well with televoters in the semi final though! It wasn't a flop in both semi final and final like with Ira Losco in 2017. But I agree that it was easy to predict that there would be some gap between jury and telvoting result. It was quite a surprise to me that juries ranked it that high in the end though. To me the electroswing vibe didn't to any favor for Destiny tbh. I hate that style, maybe she can come back with a modern modern and interesting song in the future.

Even as a noted non-fan of the song, my heart broke for Destiny during the voting. A parental-instincts-kicking-in kind of emotional response. But I think in time she'll find that not winning was the best thing that could have possibly happened to her. She's spent much of her life under pressure as the one who would bring the Esk trophy to Malta, and she spent this year as the face of a marketing campaign that 1) I think I speak for a lot of fans when I say was equal parts neurotic and exhausting and 2) she really seemed not to have any control over whatsoever. It was exhausting as a fan; I can't imagine how tough the last few months--and years--must've been on her. I do believe Destiny will win Eurovision someday, and now, hopefully, she can do so more on her own terms with the pressure taken off. Looking forward to what's next from her. Truly, truly mean that.
