Babe, are you hiding? Are you alright?
You look like an angel, that fell from the sky
And boy you keep talkin', massaging my ego
With your unoriginal pickup line

Hell no, I'm not your honey
Hell no, I don't want your money
Got it wrong, I ain't into dummies
No-o-o-o

So baby, it's not a maybe
Yeah, I'm too good to be true, but there's nothing in it for you
So if I show some skin, it doesn't mean I'm giving in
Not your baby

Je me casse, je me casse
If you don't get it (Je me casse)
Je me casse, je me casse
I'm not your baby

Boy, are you pouring that drink in my hand?
Thinking if I'm drunk then, I'll give you a chance
Boy, you keep buying and complaining so stop trying
Not gonna give it up and change my plans

Hell no, I'm not your honey
Hell no, I don't want your money
Got it wrong, I ain't into dummies
No-o-o-o

So baby, it's not a maybe
Yeah, I'm too good to be true, but there's nothing in it for you
So if I show some skin, it doesn't mean I'm giving in
Not your baby

Je me casse, je me casse
If you don't get it (Je me casse)
Je me casse (Je-je-je me casse)
If you don't...

Ladies, if you feel like flaunting tonight, it’s alright, it's alright
Ladies (Ladies), listen to me!
Listen and go right ahead, show you're shining

If you don't get it, if you, if you dont' get it (Je me casse)
If you don't get it, if you, if you don't get it
Excuse my French

Baby, it's not a maybe
Yeah, I'm too good to be true, but there's nothing in it for you
So if I show some skin, it doesn't mean I'm giving in
Not your baby

Je me casse
Je-je-je me casse
I'm not your baby

Another thing I just remembered: the head of delegation or somebody from Maltese delegation, said prior to Eurovision that small countries cannot win. Am I wrong? Basically, they arrived to Rotterdam with this mindset and turned to all these dirty games to secure victory believing they cannot win regularly.
The second thing, as soon as the running order for the grand final was published, the guy from Maltese delegation wrote it's all political. With this comment he, or whoever, confirmed they rather trust the magic of running order than to the singer they sent. This is such a poor and stupid approach to the contest and sooo against the singer they sent. It seems this has been happening for a while with Maltese acts at Eurovision. And they wonder why some fans started to turn their back to Malta??
The good thing almost everybody understands all these dramas have nothing to do with Destiny, she is clean here. She probably got instructions how to behave and answer questions, but the more articles we are getting about Malta this year the more I realize Destiny was just an object in the hands of some strange people and underground activities.
With this approach and mentality Malta will NEVER win Eurovision. Never.

Poor, poor Destiny. She's literally in the middle of this mess, being unfairly dragged over the poor tactics of her incompetent team. I really hope she gets back stronger after this.
Malta-gate reached some Greek media, by the way.

I wonder what kind of song Malta needs to send to do well with the public these days

Destiny gave it all, but still only the juries seemed to love it.

Overall Malta should be proud they got a 7th place in a strong year like this!

I really hope Destiny will be back in a few years with another banger xheat

Well, 7th Wonder and Angel proves that you can get a good result even with a ballad. Maltese composers can produce gems, the TV needs to reward it however.

I feel sorry for Destiny, she's young and got dragged into all this back-door politics (without maybe even understanding what was going on herself), getting a false impression of her chances. You could see during the finals that she looked very sad and disappointed, and hey I don't blame any act really if they would have such a reaction, but I think alot was fueled by these expectations.

There were other young acts as well, and most of them didn't look too happy with their results, but Destiny really looked the most miserable out of them all.

I'm already feeling suspicious after Malta shoot up in the odds with a song like this. I remember all people being so hyped up and positive about it since it's all in the top of the odds and now after the 7th place we're starting to say the song is average (aside of the performance).

Does betting odds matter? Yes, because they can influence the narrative of where the show is going. Not like it matters because they vote for the best song, but any song that is placed on the tops will generate instant hype.

I'm thankful that a person with a respectable amount of influence such as Ludwig pointed this out and started a discussion. Clearly Malta's team played dirty (even if not as dirty as K*rkorov) and Destiny becomes the unfortunate punching bag.

I'm happy I'm not in the "sheep-camp", I was never really into this one that much and when it shot up the odds I was like "meh ok". I don't really understand why people suddenly would get hyped about an entry just because it's high in the odds, at least not the fans. I do get that the hype can effect on the average viewer though who didn't really hear any of the songs prior.

I never like the song TBH, it doesn't have a memorable melody (the sax isn't easy to remember) nor a good hook ('Je me casse' is a very random sentence to be used). The odds do affect casual viewers but I don't think millions of them consider nor look at the odds before show, I think it's more of a press thing that keeps on releasing coverage on some songs.

However, we as Eurofans do watch the odds even if we say 'the don't affect the show', because it's an interesting discussion point every year.

Another however, I don't think Malta will be high in the odds after the hype-making allegations, nor that eager to participate considering they absolutely put Destiny in the pedestal this year.

Actually I remember the first day the song was out, the dominant opinion in the fandom was "wow, it's a really good song but it's not a winner", and there were very mixed reviews. but somehow it shot up to 1st place in odds and i remember being shocked about it.

Yup, this is exactly what happened. Malta shot to number one in the odds in the space of a couple of hours despite the fan response being fairly restrained. Switzerland on the other hand tool several days to climb to number 1 after the song reveal despite having a much more positive reaction from the fans. The whole thing surrounding Destiny was suspicious right from the off

700k plus of the countries (Malta's) money all for 47 tele-vote points.

700k on marketing!?

They should've just bought sim cards smh
It's sooooo 2008 to buy sim cards.
Malta is adapting itself to new methods in the scene, perhaps a good amount of that 700k was spent on the jury bribes xqueenbitch xqueenbitch

Thank you, I really missed that detail out. After the song shoot up in odds, this is the point where most opinions on the song turned positive "the song is good! it's gonna win! Destiny can bring the trophy to Malta!"

It was several weeks before the show that, unsurprisingly, some people started to voice back that this is not going to win, nor that it's going to succeed in the televoting.
