This edition has made me feel uncomfortably aware of how much the running order actually does matter. I don't like the feeling that what order your country performs in the final might matter more than the quality of your song.

Malta wasn't really among my big favourites this year, but 40 something points from the public is just shockingly low for this song.

And to be quite frank, when she was announced in the Slovenian transmission it was clearly stated that she is giving us the same message as Israeli Netta 2018.

In any case, let's address the elephant in the store: this song was fun, well sung, but it simply did not suit her. I mean, it is about telling guys she is not easy, though she knows she is hot and they want her. While Destiny is a cute teenager, she is not a sex-bomb. That's all.

Even if she performed later she would not have done much better. She is great, her charisma is stunning. Her song and stage show was very basic and below her capacity. She should return and kill it with a better song. And please, do not forget semi final is one thing and final is something else.

Then again, I remember when they put Goodbye to Yesterday at #4 and La Forza at #6 so it's getting obvious they care for certain countries more than others. Random draw needs to be brought back.

Destiny is amazing and she does not deserve the delegation behind her who honestly have been shameful this year. Inflating the view on YouTube with bots, complaining about running orders, and after their result tonight I wouldn't be surprised if they'd been manipulating the betting odds too. They raised her hopes so high and it's very sad to see them dashed like this. I hope she returns again with a song of her own and wins

Destiny looked so sad in the green-room, gurl I feel for you but sorry the song wasn't all that, and I hope Malta will try to send something more authentic next year. This turned out (as I expected) to be more jury-bait than public favorite.

Well, I did kinda predict Malta would do a Malta... A super great jury score and then a mediocre/bad televote score. Slightly better on the televote than usual for them, but i'm not totally surprised by it tbh.

I am all for that... plus the shopping for Swedish entries is also SUPER old!

Hopefully with the top. 5 we got, maybe broadcasters will stop with MF rejects and start to look for local talents instead.

Maybe this is why Malta is so aggressive with their marketing, because they know they will do badly with the televotes so that's why they are begging for the votes. But too bad it backfired on them. I feel bad for Destiny. But no. 7 is still a great placing. It's just the hype the entry got make it seems like it's a flop. Many other nations will kill to get a no. 7 placing.

It seems like we were the only ones who got "Je Me Casse". 7th place is good for Malta of course, but 47 points from the public is once again quite the failure for a favourite that remained so until the very end in the odds.

I stopped believing in a victory as soon as I saw the staging. I thought she would win the jury vote and perform better with televoters though. Overall, the televoting results were quite shocking by their harshness, and they almost showed everyone on camera this time around.

Destiny should still be proud of her achievements: 18 years old, a JESC win and a top ten finish in the adult contest. Not too shabby tbh. Who knows, maybe she'll come back when she gets older.

Can't believe I got a tiny bit of hope when she ended up 3rd in the jury vote overall. I refused to let myself use the calculator to ruin the surprise but I knew as soon as all those points came in for Italy that our Destiny had been largely forgotten by the public voters. I'm still happy she finished 7th considering people had even started predicting an almighty flop (Senhit - I stand with you sis ) but yeah, it was such a shame to see how her overall Eurovision journey went with all the backlashes against her costumes, then her staging and all the rest... She was amazing, and I was proud to throw all my support behind her tonight
