Babe, are you hiding? Are you alright?
You look like an angel, that fell from the sky
And boy you keep talkin', massaging my ego
With your unoriginal pickup line

Hell no, I'm not your honey
Hell no, I don't want your money
Got it wrong, I ain't into dummies
No-o-o-o

So baby, it's not a maybe
Yeah, I'm too good to be true, but there's nothing in it for you
So if I show some skin, it doesn't mean I'm giving in
Not your baby

Je me casse, je me casse
If you don't get it (Je me casse)
Je me casse, je me casse
I'm not your baby

Boy, are you pouring that drink in my hand?
Thinking if I'm drunk then, I'll give you a chance
Boy, you keep buying and complaining so stop trying
Not gonna give it up and change my plans

Hell no, I'm not your honey
Hell no, I don't want your money
Got it wrong, I ain't into dummies
No-o-o-o

So baby, it's not a maybe
Yeah, I'm too good to be true, but there's nothing in it for you
So if I show some skin, it doesn't mean I'm giving in
Not your baby

Je me casse, je me casse
If you don't get it (Je me casse)
Je me casse (Je-je-je me casse)
If you don't...

Ladies, if you feel like flaunting tonight, it’s alright, it's alright
Ladies (Ladies), listen to me!
Listen and go right ahead, show you're shining

If you don't get it, if you, if you dont' get it (Je me casse)
If you don't get it, if you, if you don't get it
Excuse my French

Baby, it's not a maybe
Yeah, I'm too good to be true, but there's nothing in it for you
So if I show some skin, it doesn't mean I'm giving in
Not your baby

Je me casse
Je-je-je me casse
I'm not your baby

Malta is serving a hot bop that has written winner winner chicken dinner all over it, because it is what? OUTSTANDING. She will steamroll all the other ladies in their short skirts with her vocals, class and sass. We don't have to excuse her French neither, when all these DOUZE POINTS will be coming for her.

Malta for me was one of the most annoying countries in the past decade, always high with the juries for inconspicuous reasons with quite bland songs. I also did not like Chameleon very much. It felt contrived and the singer couldn't sell it.

But back then, when they won JESC with Destiny, I knew this girl could take on Eurovision as well, and gladly she does.

Malta deserves the win the most measured at their effort, at how close they came to winning already with Chiara and at their participation streak.

And if this is a fanwank, then Latvia is a circle jerk and Azerbaijan a gangbang.

Apparently you can use robots to make multiple small bets , causing a country to appear high in number of bets placed on sites and fooling a few people to make real bets !
They are unlikely to spend that kind of money just to create hype that they're actually putting in huge amounts of money on themselves in the midst of a pandemic. But I do understand your point of view.
Then maybe the problem aren’t the odds, but the fact that we pay so much attention to them? I honestly feel that many of the winners in the last decade would have not happened, if people stopped seeing them as “the favorites to win”. It’s definitely a huge disappointment, ruining the fun. Moreover, I really don’t understand why do we take so much into consideration something that is by default speculative and dubious.

I like the song a lot, I remembered the „maybe...“ part instantly after first time listening.

But - from all my favorite songs this year (I have many) to which Malta belongs too, this is the last one I want to win. Why? Because it’s too similar to 2018.

Well Malta is rising up in the odds , peaking at no. 1. In 2019 , Malta was shown to have used bots to increase the number of views of their entry on YouTube. This year similar allegations are being put regarding their rise in betting odds. What do you guys think ?
I think Maltese entries in general get hyped a lot.
Wasn’t “Walk On Water” one of the top favourites to win too in 2016?
I have no doubt that Destiny will be a jury darling but I’m not convinced about the televote so much.

I see so many comparisons to Toy, but I just don't see it, can someone explain it to me maybe? Because yes they have a similar message, but sonically they are so different, they sound nothing alike imo

After watching the performance, I realize I don't particularly enjoy Destiny's vocal tone. She sounds like she is growling when she sings. Very Christina Aguilera. It grates on you after a while. And she looked pretty static in the performance. Hopefully, she will be able to bring the "fun" of this year's entry on stage when she performs.
I don't mind Aguilera's voice as long as she's not oversinging the song. Her over-the-top rendition of the American anthem where she killed all the melody with her unnecessary melismas and throaty vocal runs was pure horror for me, just as awful (even if not as hilarious) as more infamous Fergie's anthem.

Tbh, it's about time Malta had a win. Like Portugal they've participated faithfully almost every year and almost always make an effort with their entries, even though some have been better than others. They deserve a win (although I'm aware ESC doesn't work like that haha).

'Walk On Water'?! I don't recall people calling it one of the top favourites.

They are both cheeky (where cheeky is probably the most diplomatic word I can find) female empowerment songs performed by ladies of above average weight, where one has already won and the other is now expected to do very well. The songs themselves aren't imo all that similar, except they are both uptempo.

Well this song definetely reminds Toy but its how to say more serious because there are no chicken singing or dance which made Toy for many people joke entry
But melodically , despite the chicken sounds Toy was more consistent and Je me Casse isn't .

This is how it I feel when the intstrumental drop comes up and I still can't get used to it, because it pulls the song down so much. Especially the final drop, Destiny is building up the song so much and it's just flat for me when the trumpets come. :|

Malta's is indeed a great song to listen to, really addictive. No idea why I took such a long time to get it... Gave it 3 points in the poll when it came out, going to change that to a 12 no doubt.

So the Maltese team again forgot that Spotify is one of the best tools these days for promotion (and they eff up my annual ESC pre-listen as per usualxgaah)
