Babe, are you hiding? Are you alright?
You look like an angel, that fell from the sky
And boy you keep talkin', massaging my ego
With your unoriginal pickup line

Hell no, I'm not your honey
Hell no, I don't want your money
Got it wrong, I ain't into dummies
No-o-o-o

So baby, it's not a maybe
Yeah, I'm too good to be true, but there's nothing in it for you
So if I show some skin, it doesn't mean I'm giving in
Not your baby

Je me casse, je me casse
If you don't get it (Je me casse)
Je me casse, je me casse
I'm not your baby

Boy, are you pouring that drink in my hand?
Thinking if I'm drunk then, I'll give you a chance
Boy, you keep buying and complaining so stop trying
Not gonna give it up and change my plans

Hell no, I'm not your honey
Hell no, I don't want your money
Got it wrong, I ain't into dummies
No-o-o-o

So baby, it's not a maybe
Yeah, I'm too good to be true, but there's nothing in it for you
So if I show some skin, it doesn't mean I'm giving in
Not your baby

Je me casse, je me casse
If you don't get it (Je me casse)
Je me casse (Je-je-je me casse)
If you don't...

Ladies, if you feel like flaunting tonight, it’s alright, it's alright
Ladies (Ladies), listen to me!
Listen and go right ahead, show you're shining

If you don't get it, if you, if you dont' get it (Je me casse)
If you don't get it, if you, if you don't get it
Excuse my French

Baby, it's not a maybe
Yeah, I'm too good to be true, but there's nothing in it for you
So if I show some skin, it doesn't mean I'm giving in
Not your baby

Je me casse
Je-je-je me casse
I'm not your baby

According to person I know its part of Maltese broadcaster (he worked before on X-Factor Malta) he said that its true that on Monday the song will be out on Spotify

Finally! Haha... it's probably the "fastest" thus far Malta has been with releasing their entry on Spotify... at least it means it won't last until sometime April (or even after Eurovision in some markets) like they usually do

Call me mad but if the cards are played right (staging, styling, vocals are obviously out of question) - Miss Chukunyere is going to raise up that trophy.

You’re mad.

This is the least televote-friendly bop this year and all the hype around it seems artificial, unorganic and manipulated to me. I mean, we have 40 songs and I doubt anyone (especially from Eastern Europe) would pick up their phone to choose and vote for this among all the options.

Lets be honest who wants to hear another beutiful ballad winning it again....
I prefer uptempo winning after crappy 2 years
Same here, and I love Destiny so much and I would be happy to see her take the trophy, but not with this song. :/ Because at the same time I want ESC to have a reputable winner that will build up the contest’s reputation as well. Even though the song grew with me since the release, I just don’t see the winning X factor in ‘Je me casse’

I wouldn't generalize it that way, because come May there will definitely be people who will vote for this, myself included. I could agree with you if you said that there is a possibility that this doesn't get an amazing televote score, but there will always be people who like a song and will vote for it.

I doubt any song ever in ESC history (not even :cz: 2009) got literally 0 (ZERO) votes lol but you got my point anyway ;)

Also Toy was really authentic to Netta's personality, while Je me Casse could be sang by any singer
I think Je Me Casse’s production is too American sounding to storm the televote. Generally speaking, such obvious American sounding songs struggle to translate to the televote, even if the jury loves them.
Anyway, we will see.

Okay, I might be minority here, but I really don't like her voice. It's just...too loud., annoying. And their last year's song, I felt the same. I am sorry, don't judge me too much. :alien::LOL:
This song is an okay product. But I cannot see this winning.

I think they'll be fine as long as they don't make it look cringe or weird on the stage, which could happen if they try to do too much with it. They generally have pretty good ideas that I don't feel like are executed as done as they could've been xthink

Malta hasn't been too bad with staging imo in recent years, I've never felt like they messed it up at all, and I quite liked their stagings so I'm expecting it to be elevated which it will be already because Destiny is better live than on studio tracks. That's why I think that this could well be a contender, and a winner.

Out of curiousity why this didn't qualified if stanging was good....

There are plenty of reasons why... the staging, I had the impression the singer felt uncomfortable plus she was doing a bit too much, and finally the chorus of the song was simply unpleasant to listen to („...but sticks and stones...“). It wasn’t a natural harmony for the ears plus productionwise very weak, singing and background music didn’t match at all etc etc.

This song is going nowhere for me. It's like last year with her - it's like a plain song on steroids. She is of course a really good singer, but if people realize how mediocre an entry it really is, under all the noisy instrumentation, it could potentially flop. Meaning: not finishing in the Top 5 as the bookmakers believe it will at the moment.

The song was unpleasant to listen to (I think many others share this impression), that dubstep intrusion was passé & contrived too as they probably felt that the entry needs desparately some additional highlight. For me it was a deserved NQ for once. The staging was kinda deluxe but it did not help.

Now that all songs have been released (except Belarus, but I doubt I will like the artist's song to make a huge change).
I am re-evaluating all songs as per studio form and re-looking into my grading system and how I have ranked the songs according to my personal preference.

Destiny is such a great vocalist, the song is different from what we have from the influx of female uptempos.
But I just couldn't get into the song at all, the verses are good but it's the chorus drop that is ruining the song for me.
Plus, I am not a fan of Destiny's vocal tone. And I am surprised it is so low in my personal ranking, it's in the lower end of the top 30.
I am downgrading the rating to a :4:.
