Also, for those wondering about which language the songs will be in, it's more likely to be in English, as that is the language used by most Luxembourgish artists today. (And yes, we do actually have a music scene here ;))

Welcome, nice to have you here! I guess English as a language is fine. People are yearning for official languages of the respective countries here, but it’s not like Luxembourg would be the only country singing in English. As long as the song is exceptional, people will be happy. Have you got any favorite Luxembourgish artists that you’re hoping to represent your country?

Welcome to this wonderful forum! It's really great to see someone from Luxembourg in this thread!
You must be super excited about your country coming back to Eurovision after so many years!

I would love to hear some Luxembourgish, though - it can only be a few words/phrases like in recent Israeli entries (tbh, I haven't heard the language in Eurovision before and it would be a great addition)

Thanks for the welcome! :) Yes I am SUPER excited that Luxembourg is finally back. I feel like I've been waiting for it my whole lifetime (which - seeing that they've been away for so long – I actually have :p).
I just hope the best song will get chosen…
For the question about which artist I'd prefer, the artists that are always 'suggested' in ESC news are people like Chaild, Edsun, Francis of Delirium, C'est Karma… Some of what they do is OK but I really think it will depend on what song they come up with (if they participate of course).
Other contenders would be TUYS, Seed to Tree, Mutiny on the Bounty, Tëschegas, Eternal Tango…
But I'm really hoping for one of these to get selected (if they come up with a great song ;)):
Noah Pearce (ex. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thGxadc18gA)
Tali Golergant (ex. https://fb.watch/lKx_uS7bXn - but I think she has more on YouTube/Spotify)
Sami Bouraoui
Maz
And of course there is Nyv, who was born in Luxembourg: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV_hp-fG07g
And if we could get the guys from Placebo (they grew up in Luxembourg) to write a song, that would just be great!
Also, I think RTL is hoping for totally unknown singers to come forward and then get them to work with a songwriter.
In any case - this is all very exciting!

I'm really impressed that it looks so professional (even for an audition).

It seems that a wide range of different talents applied (male, female, age, origin). Kudos to Luxembourg for putting up such a big selection and also for being very transparent about their rules/the process straight from the beginning.

Luxembourg seems very determined  This could mean a double edged sword for me.
I hope they'll be more like Belgium and less like The Netherlands in the long run.

From what I've heard, the people who participated in this first pre-pre-selection were really happy about how the whole thing was organised. No matter what the result is for them, having been able to sing on a stage in the Rockhal is a fantastic experience, and the organisers were apparently really nice.
Also, in case you haven't seen, RTL now has an official Eurovision account on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok) - same handle on all: @rtleurovision
