He doesn't have to be super sexy olive skin hairy Italian man anymore. Even a chubby one like that surpasses the odds of an Italian woman winning Sanremo. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Now seriously, my only wish re: Sanremo this year is that a woman represents Italy at the ESC 2024.

This year literally everybody can win Sanremo, even the youngsters, with few exceptions, imo...

Info about the songs and/or genre of the songs

Alessandra Amoroso: a ballad that talks about awareness

Alfa: straight drum song with a slightly folk sound, talks about the life choice of many young people to go even if they don't know where

Angelina Mango: up song, it is autobiographical, in the artist's mind it is an emotional and intense song

Annalisa: a lot of nuances inside but to summarize "if you leave me my space and leave me free I am yours, sincerely"

BigMama: a song of revenge, with a strong message

Dargen: all the stimuli that Italian music has received musically

Diodato: very energetic ballad

Emma: You'll have a hard time sitting down

Fiorella Mannoia: Mariposa means Butterfly, life is perfect but we are the ones who make it dirty

Fred De Palma: he doesn't want to reveal anything, he prefers everything to be revealed on stage

Gazzelle: love song, people who are no longer here and nostalgia for the whole life he didn't live.

Geolier: uptempo song, talks about a couple who love each other too much and manage to understand that they are doing "me for me and you for you".

Ghali: it's a long journey, as if it were a song written with an extraterrestrial friend in which I try to explain to him by looking at planet earth from above. And there are things that he can't understand and that I can't explain to him. Things that happen and are happening today on our planet.

Il Tre: the song talks about a dark period gone through by the artist in the last period, there is rap but also the singing part

Il Volo: the song about hope, when we struggle to see inside ourselves we hope to find the answer outside. The genre is pop in their own way.

Irama: the song as a genre has a very "soul world", very emotional and full of emotions, the most emotional written in the last period

La Sad: the story of a boy who, since he was born, has been unable to be accepted by his family, friends and society and encounters the suffering of non-acceptance of his being. The genre is a mix between punk and rock

Loredana: it's an autobiographical genre, usually she hates herself quite a bit but in this period she desperately loves herself

Mahmood: club baile funk genre, a journey between the past and the present linked to an imagination that was born this summer

Maninni: pop rock genre, the most beautiful moments lived with fragility, love and passion

Mr.Rain: ballad about loss. Mr.Rain met many people who told him stories that happened, he wrote a song about one of them. You have to see the performance on stage and above all the video clip because they will be fundamental for the song

Negramaro: genre Negramaro probably rock in attitude

Renga Nek: the song talks about an adult love, appropriate to the age of the two artists. From the negative aspects but which then make this feeling greater. A song with a classic flavor as if I had already heard it a long time ago.

Ricchi e Poveri: they don't want to reveal anything, they prefer everything to be revealed on stage

Rose Villain: a song that embodies her dualism, the most melancholy and also the most energetic part

Sangiovanni: melancholic, nostalgic and poignant song. Something that has an end and to move forward he wrote this song

The Kolors: urban photography of a relationship, kolors genre

bknr44: youth rebellion

Clara: It speaks to all of us about growth, uncertainties and what it means to mature and grow

Santi Francesi: hard pop genre, it all revolves around this image of "love in the mouth" which is a play on words with "bitter taste in the mouth" which we liked because it was romantic and sexual.

So many good artists I don't know for whom to root.

I have a soft spot for Mr. Rain though.

Mahmood, Sangiovanni, Annalisa, Emma, Diodato, Clara... Love them as well. Ricchi e Poveri are also legends.

The only act that I dislike is Il Volo. Hopefully, they won't win. I just dislike their genre of music.

Good list of artists for this year's SanRemo. One of the songs will end up overrated when competing with the Italian flag but Italy through SanRemo has a proper legacy.

While some of us were listening to the number one song on ESC 250, this happened in Italy.

«Here is the cast on the cruise ship off the coast of Sanremo during the festival: there will be a rapper who is number one in the charts, Tedua. He will open on Tuesday 6th and close on Saturday 10th February » said the artistic director during Tg1. «On Wednesday in the second evening a great artist, producer and DJ of international level: Bob Sinclair. Furthermore, on Thursday there will be a singer loved by young people: Bresh. And on Friday an Italian DJ and producer: the great return of Gigi D'Agostino. These are the five evenings on board the ship" concluded Amadeus.
the performances on the ship will be broadcast live during the festival evenings, like last year.

So happy to see a Gigi comeback after his health issues. Hope he has fully recovered.

Within two weeks we'll know who are the real contenders.
Annalisa is climbing the odds.
I have a feeling that a gurl might win this year.
Can't wait for those reviews after the first listening by the critics.

I kind of hope Mahmood doesn't win yet again. He's usually great and I would have been very happy had he won Eurovision with Soldi, but in a lineup this strong, it would be a shame not to give a chance to someone else this time.

I totally agree

As is now tradition, thanks to the partnership with Costa Crociere, the Sanremo Festival will also have its "floating stage" in 2024. In recent days, within TG1, Amadeus has in fact announced the names of the artists who, during the singing event, will fill the ship with music: Tedua, Bob Sinclar, Bresh and Gigi D'Agostino. But how much does it cost to get on the cruise? Here is the price list, divided into three packages.

The first package, lasting 5 days and called Opening Sanremo, includes a cruise stay from 3 to 7 February (for a total of 5 days and four known). Available with a price per person starting from 449 euros (the price increases depending on the cabin chosen), it includes a live performance by a surprise guest on Sunday 4 February (with special correspondents and DJ sets), together to that of Tedua, scheduled for Tuesday 6 February, the day on which the Festival will begin.

In the second package, which is called Gran Finale Sanremo, the dates range from 7 to 11 February (5 days and 4 nights). In this case, as the singing festival is now in full swing, the price rises from 799 euros per person. However, guests of the cruise will be able to attend four live shows among those scheduled: Bob Sinclair, Bresh, Gigi D'Agostino and Tedua, respectively from 7 to 10 February 2024.

Finally, the last package is available: Sanremo Full Experience, lasting 9 days, i.e. from 3 to 11 February (9 days and 8 nights). With this solution, the "residents" of the cruise will be able to fully enjoy the entire experience of the singing festival, with live performances by Tedua (6-10 February), Bob Sinclair (7 February), Bresh (8 February) and Gigi D'Agostino (February 9). All starting from 1,099 euros per person. We start from Savona and return to Savona.

In short, we will have Annalisa in a poignant ballad version with philosophical-existential implications.

this is not necessarily the case. It could be a lively song but it still has an important message inside. For example, "Bellissima" was a pop song but there were many things in the lyrics that made you think. The song was about a boy who doesn't show up to meet her and despite this the song is very cheerful.

Can be. But "Bellissima", message aside, without Annalisa's fandom to support her it would have ended up in twenty-second position (the same happened to Emma). A lively sound, yes, but also harmless. For me, the move towards mainstream Pop was Annalisa's defeat as a singer. From long dresses and deep songs to pure commercial with provocative dresses. She is without identity. I just can't see her as a winner. It's fine for a singer to move from one genre to another but not to distort his essence. It's like making Käärijää sing "Fai Rumore" by Diodato. This year Italy must not send, unless it is a masterpiece capable of having the same effect as the words "Lazarus, arise and walk", a ballad or another profound song. Italy would be bitterly attacked by the public. We need a new sound. A Pop Rock, a Pop Punk, a Rap. If we don't count Måneskin and count Diodato, Italy has abused ballads in recent years.

Many singers have explored different genres.
Kaarijaa's example doesn't stand. He can "sing" only his genre.
Annalisa has a good voice and a certain vocal range that the finnish guy doesn't. Diodato can sing Cha cha cha, Kaarijaa can't sing Fai Rumore unless he sings it alla Cha cha cha.
Even the question of being bitterly attacked by the public doesn't stand at all. Which public? The Esc fandome? We know very well how the fandome reacts, but the wide public has a different approach. Even this year Italy has been attached about sending a masterpiece like Due Vite, and we all know how it ended. Avangardes, so much acclaimed by the Esc fandome, like Eaea got only 5 points from the wide public.

In my opinion we tend to underestimate catchy songs too much. You have to be able to sing and interpret in a certain way and not only do you have to have a certain type of soul. It's like saying anyone could be as funny as Robin Williams, even Vin Diesel. Mengoni and Diodato could vocally sing "Cha Cha Cha" but lack the same strength capable of making the song irreverent and energetic. Mengoni has explored many sounds successfully but I don't think he has ever decided to try his hand at the songs of Gazzé or Elio e Le Storie Tese. I would like you to follow my reasoning without feeling implicated. Annalisa, in my opinion, listening to various of his songs has always given me a sense of insipidity. She's good at everything, excellent at nothing. Then we need to better define the words success and failure. Annalisa has a large fandom and this is success: selling. However musically it is nothing memorable. Her songs will be forgotten in history. Her greatest hits are like momentary summer songs. We're not talking about an eternal "Relax" from Frankie Goes To Hollywood. I would like you to also follow this reasoning without thinking that I am a noisy Spanish fan who talks bad about others. What is beautiful I recognize, what is not beautiful I do not. You took, a bit like an elegant sting towards me, the example of "EaEa". It was a modernized Flamenco that was almost inspired by the dissonances and emotional power performed in the early days in the "cafés cantantes" by the gypsies. It was clear that the public it would reach would be niche. And here is the answer to who complaining about the Tanxugueiras failure to win. It's as if an Italian thinks he can win by thinking he sings in Sicilian dialect. Local dialects are often at a disadvantage at ESC (let's say "Fulenn"). To win it must be a masterpiece (perhaps in Europe the only one capable of doing so is Ukraine - masters in the use of linguistic and traditional baggage). Then… “EaEa” suffered from terrible running order and chaotic direction. Blanca Paloma was very good at singing and taking care of the choreographic aspect, but she failed in directing. It happened to Italy a little with Mengoni: excellent direction when the camera focused on Mengoni and the public who acted as a starry sky but terrible with the trampolinists. They were pointless and comical (even if we want to say they had meaning). A bit like a burp that suggests that we enjoyed lunch but is still not pleasant to listen to.

I wasn't using Eaea because you are Spanish, I liked the song, but because it was a clear example of the discrepancy. The Fandom mostly went crazy but the public not, and I don't think it was the fault of this or that factor. Marco Mengoni without that stupid RoW voting would have been third and this result was the best he could have ever reached.
I wasn't defending Annalisa at all but some facts are clear. Italy by now has only two successful female pop starts Annalisa and Elodie, you may like them or not. The few ones able to organize sold out tours and high sellings. And I think that yes Annalisa, in her own, is part of the italian music history.
