Madame was my fav, but I think Marco will do well no matter whatCall me delusional, but I still fully believe Lazza could've won the entire contest (with the correct staging, ofc). Same with Madame. At the very least both would've been a lock for top 5. Both are so much, much more contemporary than any song actually competing in ESC this year imo.
Due vita is still top three of the year for me though, one of the only ones I never skip when it comes on, love it dearly. The rehearsal clips confirm it, happy they're not overcooking it. Just hope he remembers to look into the camera more, since his effortless charisma is arguably his greatest asset (the only one who can rival Loreen in terms of stage presence I think, you can tell how experienced he is).
Dear sir, we've got vegetables and fruits in the menu today
It functions, everyone is happy. It doesn't matter if is small or nothing special.now I would like to say one thing, let's admit we were to blame for the kinetic sun (which worked) but does this year's stage really seem something more innovative than last year?
with this I don't want to attack Great Britain's work, but if one doesn't want to risk it (as they did this year) just build a small stage with 3 led walls.
Maybe we Italians were the idiots who wanted to dare and the gods in heaven punished us
Thank you for sharing.
It looks a little suicidal at first, but then it all turns out fine. (Don't try this at home, kids!)
I think the problem is that the stage was designed by this person:It functions, everyone is happy. It doesn't matter if is small or nothing special.
The italian concept was stunning, obviously something went wrong. We'll never know where was the problem.
Now we know that he looks directly in the camera for the first 20 seconds of the song. The camera is fixed on his facetoo bad he never looks at the camera, it would take a machine gun above the camera crane to force him to do it!!!
He will do it in the final as he did in SanremoBut I wanted him thrilling the public! I want the whole crowd and people at home at his feet! I want him to spray positive energy.

But at least Italy tried to give us something new. The black hole sun was something new for sure and the stage was much talked about last year, so in a sense they succeeded. This year, the stage doesn't look very ambitious. It's fine and everything is working as it should, but I haven't seen it do anything that other stages haven't done before. It just looks like a safe choice. Maybe they rather wanted to be safe after Italy was sorry.
Is it just me or does he come across as either very nervous or arrogant most of the times? In his introduction yesterday he looked very uncomfortable. Before the semi 1 there was a show where one of our german commentators was drooling over him and made other contestants from this year to help looking for him on one of the parties. It was really cute and not as annoying as it could've been. However when he finally found him, Marco had this "get away from me"-mood.

This year’s stage looks like the fixed version of last year’s stage. The difference is that they use the LED panels in the back to do what the kinetic sun was supposed to do and it’s actually working as intended this year. Most importantly, the panels can turn so fast that you can use both sides during the same performance, as demonstrated by Finland. In many ways this is what last year could have been. The stage looks great this year and everything is working as planned, but it’s an evolutionary concept and not something entirely new. So, I’d say Italy had a great idea last year, but it took the UK to implement this idea competently this year.
