Sanremo 2021: Vote for YOUR favourite!

Loro non sanno di che parlo
Voi siete sporchi, fra’, di fango
Giallo di siga’ fra le dita
Io con la siga’ camminando
Scusami, ma ci credo tanto
Che posso fare questo salto
Anche se la strada è in salita
Per questo ora mi sto allenando

E buonasera signore e signori
Fuori gli attori
Vi conviene toccarvi i coglioni
Vi conviene stare zitti e buoni
Qui la gente è strana, tipo spacciatori
Troppe notti stavo chiuso fuori
Mo’ li prendo a calci, ‘sti portoni
Sguardo in alto, tipo scalatori

No

Io ho scritto pagine e pagine
Ho visto sale, poi lacrime
Questi uomini in macchina

Tu portami dove sto a galla
Che qui mi manca l’aria
E parla la gente, purtroppo
Parla, non sa di che cosa parla
Tu portami dove sto a galla
Che qui mi manca l’aria
Parla la gente, purtroppo
Parla, non sa di che cazzo parla
Tu portami dove sto a galla

I'm late to the discourse but I love the fact that Italian songs are wordy. Eventhough it's hard to sing along to them, I still vibe with the fact that they spit a thousand words in a span of 3 minutes without feeling guilty whatsoever about what they said. Rapping or singing fast - all inclusive for me.

a typical pop song for eurovision:

Loveeee taratatata'
Loveeeeeeeeeeee Taratatatata'
Power piripipipipi
togheter parappapapapa'

all united by fireworks and headache special effects.
Unlike Italian songs, where we speak to express a thought or tell a story.

I want Italy to win so badly. They deserve it. Usually, I'm not too keen on whether somebody deserves something or not, but in Italy's case, they've been sending nothing but QUALITY to the contest. Even their weakest entry (many think it's 2011) was still better than 95% of the entire contest that year. I'll be voting my ass off, that's for sure!

MUSIC

IS

FIREWORKS

!

Okay, Mr. Sobral???

Not every song has to tell a story. Music is there for our consumption, and we can have moments to enjoy fast food music.

Luckily Eurovision is a diverse music contest where we have meaningful songs and the fast food music. There's no hierarchy between them. What is unwelcomed in Eurovision is the condescending attitude that is very prevalent in the Italian thread every year.

Almost every year we're now in that zone according to the odds. It's just that we (luckily) gained some reputation. Even though we learned through the years not to believe odds so much.
Honestly, I have no illusions. But it's nice to have this "good reputation". It means that our musical movement is strong. Achieve this trust from bookmakers every year and, barring two occasions since our return, the "Top 10" is worth more than an ESC.

This is the second most asinine piece of misguided Eurovision jingoism I've ever seen on this forum (first will always be this masterpiece: https://www.escunited.com/forum/thr...s-if-i-were-sorry.13578/page-172#post-1579911) and I say that as someone who once punctuated a post with 13 consecutive American flags.
