Is Annalisa likely to participate? Or Simona Molinari?

Annalisa did an interview here http://www.ilfattoquotidiano.it/201...do-per-confrontarsi-con-altri-limiti/2140469/

Question: last question, in the last few days, there were rumors about you.
That you're between the names of the classic listone of hypothetical participants in San Remo 2016.
Answer: at the moment I have no answers to give. I have just closed the tour of shines, that was beautiful, able to give me great satisfaction, but also exhausting. In the while I kept continuously to write, and there are also songs that could become songs to be submitted to the festival, but nothing is clear.

So she has been writing/doing songs that she thinks might be good enough to submit for SR.Very very rare performers come back the next year though. She wont have an album to promote so Warner probably wont want her there.Unless Conti really wants her.

Re: ITALY 2016

The Sanremo rules and programme are out.I cant translate the pdf file so perhaps you Italians can read through and see if any rule changes etc this year. Not sure if it includes the voting,

http://www.sanremo.rai.it/dl/portal...em-a8577824-8547-49f4-9276-93b2cc4c9ca8.html#

Basically there aren't big changements. These are the rules of the CAMPIONI SECTION:

- 18 singers this year

- The first 9 singers will present their songs during the 1st night and they will be judged by the televote (50%) and the press center (50%)
- The other 9 singers will present their songs during the 2nd night and they will be judged by the televote (50%) and the press center (50%)
- After the first two nights we'll have a provisional ranking of the 18 songs

- The 18 singers will sing a cover of a famous italian song during the 3rd night, but this has nothing to do with the "real" contest

- The 18 singers will sing again their songs during the 4th night and they will be judged by the televote (40%), the experts jury (30%) and a "popular jury" (30%)
- After the 4th night we'll have a definitive ranking of the 18 songs (created joining the votes of the first two nights and the votes of the fourth night, 50/50). The bottom 5 will be eliminated, while 13 songs will go through the final
- One of the eliminated songs will be saved only by the televote and we'll know who is the 14th finalist at the beginning of the final

- The 14 finalists will sing again their songs during the 5th night and they will be judged by the televote (40%), the experts jury (30%) and a "popular jury" (30%)
- The top 3 will sing again their songs and they will be judged once again by the televote (40%), the experts jury (30%) and a "popular jury" (30%), the most voted will win

You're wrong. :p There will be 14 songs in the final = 13 direct finalists + one of the eliminated songs that will be saved only by the televote.

Quinta Serata – Serata Finale (sabato 13 febbraio 2016)

Re: ITALY 2016

what is the argument for having a popular jury?

In italian we call it "giuria demoscopica", I don't know how to translate it in the perfect way in english. Before the invention of the televote, we already had this "giuria demoscopica" in Saremo, that I called "popular jury". It's formed from people recruited in every italian region who bought cds and have been to live concerts in the last months.

So they made this difference between the televote and the "popular jury", formed (they say, at least) from people who are not "experts" but... a little more expert than the people at home. I hope I explained it in the right way :D

Re: ITALY 2016

The way i see it is the "popular jury" makes it more likely the televote winner wins. The splits also make sure the jury winner (like Malika) make the last 3/podium.

Televoters get their winner, jury gets the highest quality onto the podium.Pretty fair and good system id say.

That seems like a nice concept except for the domination of juries. Even 50% televote doesn't seem satisfying and they take the control from televote almost completely. It is up to juries for best chance. The point of TV shows should aim on the attention of viewers imo.

I actually think that this is the best concept 'cause sadly singers who come from the talent shows have a great advantage in the televote and their fans are used to it, so we need the presence of more juries to create a sort of balance.

And about the TV shows and the attention of viewers, Sanremo could be a particular case 'cause it doesn't have this problem. Even when there wasn't the televote and people had any decision about the winners, our festival always had the biggest ratings of the year.

The problem of the televote has been created when talent show singers like Marco Carta and Valerio Scanu entered the competition to win with the power of televote. If the televote was equal, I would give 100% to it, but the fact that we have some singers from talent shows and other singers actually popular but without a mass of televoters creates big gap.

When you have the list of participants you can suddenly predict who will have the biggest percentage in the televote.

Re: ITALY 2016

How was it split last year?

Was it changed as a result of Il Volo winning based hugely on the televote? I'm guessing they don't want a repeat scenario
