Re: ITALY 2016

And frankly I can see why Sanremo would garner more respect from some people then Eurovision. On the outside to the naked eye it lacks the appearance of a tacky circus and presents itself with more seriousness even if its not actually true. Sanremo still looks like its all about the song (again even if its actually not) while Eurovision seems less and less so with every passing year and are barely trying to hide it xscared

Have you seen Eurovisions 2004-2008? Go and see those and then tell me if the competition doesn't look much more serious now than it looked back then

Re: ITALY 2016

You have to think about one thing: probably she never saw Eurovision, or at least, she saw probably one (Conchita Wurst?) or two performances. It's easy to tell "Oh yeah, I know it" but the truth could be different... so maybe she has an idea created by the fact that she has some prejudices about it and she tried to explain her point of view in a kind way, don't know if you got what I mean.

As long as they have a manipulated rigged draw and hosts shoving chosen favorites down our throats it will continue to be a joke that you can't take serious xshrug

I never claimed it was more serious in the 2000s. Overall results back then left ALOT to be desired (but the winners where pretty deserving) most of the time but they happened fairly and naturally even if you can't admit that. The only thing their serious about now is making sure they get the result they want to happen regardless of what everyone else thinks. There still a lot of crap today, just a different kind.

I saw that, very interesting.Does anyone know the release date of the album? I hope it says after the 9th of Feb as she really might just be at the Ariston
If she is she will set the bar high. With Malika,Annalisa,Chiara,Arisa etc out probably next year id expect the podium is minimum for her,and the palm tree in reach ;)

Krishoes or Franco,do you think Alessandra would risk her career for SR?,Surely she would only enter if she knew she had a song to challenge the win,not just to promote an album right?.

I don't know much about Amoroso, but you hardly risk anything in Sanremo. If you win, all the better. If you lose, you still have promoted your album. There are no consequences in losing, IMHO.

Yeah, I think we will see her in Sanremo. If not the next year, well, soon! :D But honestly I think she will be among the contestants of Sanremo 2016 with a big song!

And as Franco said, even if you not win, you have a big round of promotion, I don't remember destroyed careers due to Sanremo...

Re: ITALY 2016

Thanks guys.I agree,i think she will be at next years SR and with a big song.If the album is released after Feb the 9th its almost certain. She has probably waited for the right time (and song) to enter.I would think Conti would love her there as well.
Given she should get a good jury press vote and televote,at worst she should challenge the podium, but with a big song id have her as one of the likely winners.Roll on the names,

You know, it's actually interesting 'cause nobody expected a new single from her, at least not now. And basically nobody understood when this single will be out, if this will be the first single of a new album and so on. Even their fans don't know what is happening but it seems that this could be a sort of preview for the new album that will be out during... Sanremo ;)

Yes.And also she has had a throat operation and is singing really well now,i thought her Radio Italia performance this year was fantastic.Plus she has spent a lot of time in South America and Spain gaining international fans.Sony see her as an international artist thats for sure, more so than Emma.
RAI moving ESC to RAI1 means they would really like a big star across age groups to win this years SR so Italian's tune in to ESC.Lets hope she is in.Thats her and Guisy so far ,but who else?:?:

I really "Ti aspetto" by Alessandra Amoroso, a song as powerful as that could easily win it fo Italy

Oh, I think that Giusy won't be in Sanremo! Tomorrow her new single Volevo te will be out and on 4th December also her first greatest hits... so, it seems that (strangely) Sanremo is not among her plans...

"Ti aspetto" is wonderful and would go close in a SR.My favourite from her early work is probably "E' vero che vuoi restare" ,i just love the emotion live she give's that.
Interesting,i really thought Guisy would be certain after her massive summer hit with Baby K.Perhaps Sony have other plans who they want at SR.

Kris, remember that you're "playing with fire"... :D

Amoroso would surely be an interesting possibility - she never took part and it would really be curious to see how her (big) fanbase would react.

Now, she would SERIOUSLY be a name. And don't forget that Carlo Conti seems to be good at finding these big names, sensational things & so on. Remember what has he done with Il Volo, Nek & others last year?

And what about The Kolors? I know that Conti said he wants them, but the problem is that they sing in English.

Yeah, Carlo Conti desperately wants The Kolors, but I don't think they will be in Sanremo. Basically 'cause I think Baraonda (their label) will enter again Dear Jack (with a new leader this year, 'cause Alessio Bernabei went on a solo career).

Plus you have to sing in Italian at SR if im right?.Conti is in a difficult position. He made last year so good and contemporary he will be struggling to get near the quality next year.If you also take out all the previous winners as well it doesnt make it easy for him.
Last year i pretty much expected most of the main entries, but for next year its really hard to say who will be in.Fedez ft Baby K wins the jury
