That's what happens when you have to deal with an old-fashioned broadcaster like IBA -.-

I think we have the same problem.TRT is old-fashioned as hell too.

who wouldn't want to see again Shiri maimon? I miss her performing on the stage just like in 2005.

Chen Aharoni maybe. He's currently in the X Factor UK, hopefully get's through, he's really good, and it may give him some fame in the UK.

Meh, he makes it look like as if he's a star here, while he had like only one hit (and even then it was because of Esti Ginzburg  )

Israel better send a booty shaking entry for next year! I'm still listening to Meital and Julieta's trashy but guilty pleasure entries every now and then...

Israel will chose its entrant internally in a system similar to the selections of 2008-2010: Eurovision Israel: IBA opts for internal artist selection for 2014 -

It's a bit sad considering I really liked Kdam in 2013, but in the meantime I understand. Israel 2013 will still remain one of the most robbed entries of the past years, it deserved a much better outcome for sure.

The Israeli internal selection of Boaz Mauda back in 2008 remains my fav in recent years, all the entries in that pre-selection were top-notch (and they didn't even pick the strongest one, yet the one they picked was strong!).

I really hope for some Mizrahit uptempo stuff in the end, Israel sent its fair share of ballads now and they need a hot girl or guy (or maybe a fixed duo?) shaking their butts up there in Copenhagen xcheer

If they are sticking to ballads or mid-tempos, I would love it to be Rinat Bar or Ishtar (actually they would work just as well with uptempos):

And Moshe Peretz is so hot, he'd wet both ladies' and men's pants if he'd be picked   :

Moran not making the final was completely farcical, so I can't blame Israel for going internal. Hopefully they do another big ballad, because up-temp and Israel just don't really go for me.

I have to agree on Moran, I don't agree on that they should do yet another ballad though (although I'm not opposed to the idea either). They could do well with an uptempo entry, the problem is that the uptempo they sent to ESC for the past decade or so haven't been really good (nor very representative of the type of uptempo stuff that are actually popular on the Israeli contemporary music scene).

They went with an internal selection in 2012 and we all know how that played out. I personally think they should stick with an NF in Israel. Moran's song was incredibly bleh and neither the televoters nor the juries appreciated it. Kdam 2013 was really weak IMO but they had pretty good songs in 2011...though in the end they decided to go with the big name rather with a good song.

Oh well, as long as Israel takes part I'm not the one to complain..........

The system they'll use now isn't like in 2012 (which was an internal choice of both the act and song), more like in 2008-2010 (which imo were pretty good years for Israel in ESC) which means there will still be a song selection where the public will have a say aswell.

Yeah, the juries supported such "awesome musical masterpieces" such as Waterfall, Marry Me and Lonely Planet xpuke instead of a "bleh" genuine ballad like the Israeli one xshrug ...

lolz the only reason IBA went with internal selection in 2012 because no company wanted to play by their rules and produce it, so the whole selection process was a mess (not that I mind since we ended up sending one of the more unique songs Israel has ever sent).

May it be Karolina and I'm satisfied for life, even if it means another final we're missing xheart

I think Israel's 2012 entry was one of the best of that year's lot, unfortunetely they weren't very nice people and that sort of came across on stage in a way that they didn't connect with the audience. It seems to me that Israeli's tv channel knows what a good song sounds like at least.

Moran Mazor was incredibly offputting, visually speaking, she looked like an old fashioned school teacher going porn. No one looking like that will ever make it into any final, no matter how good their song is. It wasn't that great either.

I think Israel deserved much better in 2013, though I can agree that it was visually off-putting.
