Maya Buskilla would probably be just another ballad.... Israel need a booty-shaker in 2014 or a ballad with way more ethno-elements (like in 2008 for instance, one of Israel's most successful entries in the last decade).

Problems we had with Mizrahi singers is that they tried to make their songs "eurovision- fitting" and we got songs that sound so fake from them, and so not what they usually make (well except 2002 which is sorta close to her ballads)

I know I can always count on you! But I wonder why they deleted the studio version. I had it in my favourites coz the title was in hebrew and obviously I couldn't search it in hebrew. But I checked my favourites and the video is deleted...

I hate when artists try to make their sound "fit for Eurovision", when they should simply just go with what they usually do...

2002 close to Sarit's usual sound? Absolutely not! That was awfully cheesy ESC ballad, and I love Sarit!! That is very far from her regular sound...

I really dont know which direction Israel should go, when they failed to quality with easily one of the best songs of the contest, and a magnificent performance. So disappointed in this years results!

I agree, I think it's time for up-tempo... I asked for a real booty-shaker for years now... 2011-2012 were "uptempos" but not of the effective sort, I liked Dana's song but it came across as rather boring (especially in the version sent to ESC) and she doesn't have any "oomph" when performing, and 2012 was just a failure in the making...
