it is normal that people views on performance may vary, but, whatever the reasons someone might think of, running order, live vocals, staging, country bias etc, this should have qualified 100%, at least from the judges if not from the televoting

OGAE had it 3rd, it is really insane, and sadly, judges do not do their job good enough

I believe it was one of the best of the 2nd semi, top3 for sure, should have qualified the least

the only possible reason I think for this bad result, would be that the overall song/performance was too artistic for Eurovision viewer's tastes

You know what happens to entries that are high in OGAE's ranking

In fact, this song is not bad at all. But that could've been created a litte better and less boring. Could be better and could qualify as well.

With all due respect to Mei, but her Semi-Final performance was pretty awful. The stage performance itself wasn't very well-choreographed and her vocals made her sound like a frog. In my opinion, "Same Heart" is a great song, but they had the opportunity to blow everyone out of the water with their stage performance -- but they didn't. Take a look at the split votes between the televoters and the jury... the results speak for themselves. The fanboys keep arguing that there was an injustice to Israel not qualifying, but the reality is that she sucked. Deal with it.

She failed because to the mainstream audience her vocals were awful, not because she was representing Israel, though that could have had a minor effect on voting. Performing 2nd didn't help either.

I follow ESC on Instagram, and quite a few people pulled out the antisemitism card regarding Israel's failure which really ticked me off. Don't get me wrong, it's a strong song, but the live vocal on the night was bad and the staging way too big for Mei and her two dancers - our Canadian commentators (despite talking over all the songs) even agreed. It also didn't help that Israel got the "death slot" in the running order
