It's all cause of antisemitics and politics, and if someone think another thing, that's totally wrong, being last has nothing to do now with real life! She didn't deserve last spot in Jury for god sake!

Tell us who deserved last place in your opinion and then post that in the corresponding thread. And then wait and see what happens. Although personally I liked the song, all the ''deserved'' talk is nonsense.

Being in last spots all the recent years and now with a fav song who finish second last is a normal thing for you right? Then if Sweden would finish 2nd last in first semi will it be fine? NO! The same goes for Israel!

tbh, i never liked this entry. the song was ok but her voice...:?
don't think it deserved that position tho xthink

but yeah, israel is going through a bad streak now.
last year i was crushed when moran didn't qualify, i was more upset over that than over my country not making it :?
but it doesn't neccesarily mean that there's some hidden aggenda going on.
netherlands failed 8x in a row (many of those were extremly underrated god knows why and should've made it, especially in their respective years) and now they are back on the horse again xshrug

not to mention my country
we didn't qualify 4 yrs in a row (and still haven't broken the streak; withdrawal is just a wasted attempt imo) but i still prefer failing in semi than withdrawal :?

I haven't watched the performance since the semi cause it hurts too much but its still one of my top favorites of the year xcry1

I hope Mei knows that so many people are upset at Israel's non-qualification but are still proud of her!

I don't know why this didn't went to the finals :(. It was amazing. I liked her special voice and the song overall was very catchy! I hope Israel stays in the contest, even though it failed to qualify a few years in a row. I need my yearly shot of great Israeli music :D. This one is already in top 10 most played songs ever hahaha.

She has - without the shadow of a doubt for me - one of the strongest and most powerful voices in this competition. I wpuld have preferred another song from the "national final", and this is the second year in a row that I really cannot understand the non-qualification...

I had a feeling that "Same heart" was the wrong choice. I truly believe that Mei would have had a better shot with "Be proud". The song just didn't have what it takes so I was not surprised about the outcome. Initially I had her down as a non qualifier in my prediction but decided to put it in just based on the love from the Eurovision crowds (should have followed my instincts).

One point I would like to make is that some people from Israel on facebook, twitter or on here are blaming the failure on antisemitism and that people don't vote for Israel based on politics. This is highly offensive to people like me who are not fans of the song. I don't like the song so the conclusion is that I have a problem with the Jewish religion. It's an excuse trying to justify a bad streak which is immature and silly. I had to actually unfriend two people on facebook cause their rants were so horrible and uncalled for, it really left me speechless. Prior to this bad streak Israel qualified three years in a row, I guess people but their antisemitism aside for a while and picked it up again in 2011.

I understand it sucks being a favorite and then flop but it happens. From 2011 to 2013 Israel was never really considered a major contender so one "unexpected" outcome does not reflect a European outlook on the the country.

Hopefully people can just be reasonable and accept that the song wasn't populare with the mainstream viewer AND the juries.

I was never a fan of this one, but she deserved to qualify 100% :( It was one of the best performances in the second semi, and I seriously can't figure out how did it manage to end so low :( I hope :il: won't give up, but I will understand if they do, as their last couple of entries have all been very underrated.

^^ For me it is completely the opposite, for me the live version was much better than the studio version.

I thought on the contrary everything from the outfit, the dance routine, the backdrop could have one million time better !

Still deserved to qualify

The studio vesion is wonderful, but the live singing was just  :?

You're kidding right? The styling may be discussable, but her vocals were strong and great and it was an effective choreography.

Weren't the "juries" supposed to support stuff like great vocals? I don't get why this one flopped. It's so sad really :(

Yes it's great, but her vocals aren't really fitting the tempo :)

Seriously? Ok, i'm going to repeat what i said about this song right from the start - it starts off great but then turns into some dance club music that is totally disharmonized with Mei's style and voice. SHE'S A FCKING ROCK CHICK. End of story. They'd do better with "Be Proud", it sounds more like a rock anthem and it doesn't require any stupid dancing.
Plus, she looked really scared, or tired or whatever. So before blaming politics and anti semitism take a better look at how the whole thing looked and sounded like comparing to other entries in the semi. I didn't get the hype around the song in the first place. I quite like it but i totally understand why it failed. It's a shame, i really love Mei as an artist, hope she can come back with something rockish to blow us all away.

I also think, that this song should have qualified.
And the performance was good.

same thoughts exactly!!

it is normal that people views on performance may vary, but, whatever the reasons someone might think of, running order, live vocals, staging, country bias etc, this should have qualified 100%, at least from the judges if not from the televoting

OGAE had it 3rd, it is really insane, and sadly, judges do not do their job good enough

I believe it was one of the best of the 2nd semi, top3 for sure, should have qualified the least

the only possible reason I think for this bad result, would be that the overall song/performance was too artistic for Eurovision viewer's tastes
