Not yet, but, here are some details about the song selection

1.Until January 28 the public is invited to send songs to the IBA. Meanwhile, Mei Finegold could try writing and composing her own songs, or collect songs made by known from the music industry, and record their sketches.

2.On February 2 the Committee of Eurovision headed by Yitzhak Sonnenschein will convene to listen to all the songs and poems sent by the public and by Mei Finegold.
From all the songs, the committee will select three songs, with at least one song would be a song that came from the public.

3.Mei Finegold would then be 27 days until February 29, to record three songs chosen by the Committee at a proper finish and photograph each of them clip.

4.On 29 February the IBA hope to hold a press conference which will be exposed to three clips, which the public will have to choose one song, and the song will be represent Israel and Mei Finegold in the Eurovision Song Contest.

5.On March 6, the winning song will be announced, and with him Mei Finegold will represent Israel in the Eurovision Song Contest. :p

I read in some blog comments that the most correct should be Feingold because it's a Germanic Jewish name. Finegold is more an American way of writing it.
There are many similar Ashkenazi (German) Jewish names, Feinstein, Feinberg etc, and they are all written Fein... not the Americanized Fine...
But still a mystery.

According to her channel and her label it's Finegold, it may be more of a stage-name rather than her actual name-spelling, but it is how it is.

I guess it's time to change her name in the title here then...

It's a great duet, i'm crossing my fingers for a rockish fast song, Mei is so good at that with her raspy voice :)
