One of them Written in Hebrew and the other Two written in English.
But, as far as I know, the Eurovision Song sent, must be at least half Hebrew.
In late February, when we will hear the songs, we'll be smarter :)

I cross my fingers for Hebrew (or ATLEST bi-lingual). I wouldn't stand the fact that also Israel would sell-out xcry

And for once I thought a ballad would be a better option  (considering the only song I heard of her so far that I sorta liked was ballad-ish).

Btw, the people on the songs, any examples of what they've done before?

one them is responsible for the umm.. like music production for Rak Bishvilo (Chen) and Kach Oti from the 2011 NF (Sivan), Lauren was on the voice Israel not a while ago, and that's pretty much it.

So you're rooting for the Hebrew song without even hearing it?

So you're rooting for the Hebrew song without even hearing it?

Just like you're rooting for English songs without even hearing them... I don't see the difference xshrug

And I'm not rooting for anything, I'm rooting for what's known at the moment (well pretty much nothing so far).

Israel is one of those countries that pretty much always kept atleast some Hebrew, when countries like that would start sending all-English entries then it's bye-bye for ESC as we all know it imo... the few countries that still got some backbone left in this should be encouraged to keep that!

There is something in what you say,
But, why do we continue the same way, the use of the Hebrew language
If for some years now, Israel has no successes at Eurovision ... :/

The lack of success has nothing to do with the language choices...

You think people voted for you in 2005 and 2008 because of the English parts? I highly doubt that... however they were both strong entries with strong performances with the right styling etc.

That's what you need, a strong entry that people will remember with a fitting performance! I think Mei as a singer is a good choice; she's got great live vocals and an interesting voice that stands out aswell she's attractive (if she ditch the red hair and rebellious teen styling - and keep it more female and sexy), now the last missing piece would be an entry that people will remember (for good reasons - not for bad). She got 3 minutes to convince Europe.

I know chances are narrow, but I'm rooting for something ethno-influenced.

Huh? I'm not rooting for anything so far until I hear the music. I don't care about the language until I hear the song. Honestly, you are mistaking my intentions quite spectacularly if you think I'll just support something because It's English.

Puh-lease most people thought Izabo sang in full English (not that it wasn't already like 80% of it) and it still failed badly.

I think we both sometimes "spectacularly" misunderstand each other

The thing is you mostly discard songs just because they're in English. Nobody else does that thankfully (for English or for native).

Do you want to see my previous top. 10 rankings?

Or just wait and see till you'll see my top. 10 this year and I can prove to you (and anyone else in here) that I'm NOT biased against English ;)

Yes I know. But on Denmark for example, one of the contenders is going to sing n English instead of Danish as usual and your reactionw as "waste of time and space" without even hearing the songs. But hopefully you're not that biased indeed.

I do think it's sad yes that we're overflooded by English in a contest which I think should be open for more, and yes I think it's sad and "waste of time" when broadcasters pick acts that have made their career in native language but just for the sake of ESC goes with English.

Though, I don't diss good songs (imo) regardless of language, but I that doesn't change the fact that I do think the Anglofication of ESC is ruining it.
